Rust-Oleum Rust Dissolver Jelly, 8 oz

I was skeptical of the product because it came in jelly form and at a very reasonable price. I used a paint brush to apply it to a gray painted service door specifically in the vent area where I had lots of rust. I applied it waited a few minutes and wiped off the rust. Then I cleaned the area with soap and water because the jelly leaves a little film. My plan was to let it sit for 24 hours and then paint it. But the next day I looked at it and it didn't need any paint. It looks great. I was surprised at how well it worked on the surface rust.

My 1960 Thunderbird needed some deep cleaning from 30 years in the sun. Rustoleum Dissolver was just what I needed. Easy to apply (one bottle cleaned entire hood) and follow directions to cover the gel while it works to dissolve rust., then light scrub with scrub pad or 000 steel wool. Rinse with water and 29 years washed away!

The quality of Rust-Oleum has always been good. The rust remover I ordered worked very well. The price was very good as it was on sale. Of course, being a shopper on a budget, I always think things could be priced better than they are. Thank you, anonymous buyer.

I used on very rusted pruners. It softened the rust so I could get it to open and take it apart to remove the rest of the rust. I had to apply the jelly more than once to get all the rust off. I left it to soak each time and now the pruners look better than it did before.

Not sure what stain meant so I didn't rate… However overall it removed the rust just like I expected that it would. Rustoleum is a great brand name and I buy it over other brand names.

its very easy to use.its a jelly like substance, which in this case is good you dont have to worry about it dripping everywhere when using it.it works very well on any tools that have tust on it.so give it a try,you wont be disappointed. i highly recommend this product to anyone thats serious about getting rid of rust.

This stuff is great to remove rust. Had iron large pot that I had forgot about and went to get and it was so rusty I thought it would have to be put in trash. Tried scraping and trying to get off but it didn't work. Ordered rust dissolver and took a brush and put it on real thick with a paint brush let it stay on for about 30 minutes. Took water hose and washed it off good and all the rust come off. I took spray paint and painted it, and it looks great. LOOKS LIKE NEW.

I used on two car wheels. I sanded the first one down and applied the jelly. Fifteen minutes later I washed off with a sponge and water. I dried it quickly because the was also bare metal next to the rust. All of the rust was gone, leaving black pits behind. Worked great. The second wheel was not sanded. The jelly was brushed on liberally and brushed back %26 forth repeatedly, then left for 15 minutes. Cleaned off with water and quickly dried. I don't know why, but half of the rust was still there. I'm gonna sand the second wheel down and apply again. I'm sure it's going to work really good. Plus, after sanding it will be ready for primer and top coat.

Works fairly well. I prefer the spray since it seems to work quicker and easier to apply. I thought brush would be easier. It it globs out and then falls off metal . I works but seem to have to reapply to get standard results
