I got this in from Walmart Spark Review for free to try out for my honest review and we love it! My husband and I love how the keyboard changed colors and he likes how the keys are big. If you decide to get this, I don't think you are going to be disappointed. We're not disappointed. The keyboard itself is pretty big. Not huge but average sized. The letters, numbers and symbols are not that bright when not in use but you can see them from the back lit keys when it is on. It comes with a booklet and its so simple to use. You just take a small piece of plastic off the end that you plug into the back of the computer. I like that. It keeps it safe from breaking or getting bent. I like that its also spill resistant. I highly recommend this for anyone really but a young adult I think would really be AWED by it! I know my son will when he sees it and he's 22. Thank You Walmart Spark Reviewer for letting me and my family get to try this out for free in exchanged for our/my honest review! We love it. It's awesome. Here's a picture showing you what it looks like!
Even though I am not a gamer, I ordered this keyboard because I really liked the way it looked. I love how the entire board around all the keys is backlit. It really helps me out being able to see the keys (happens when you get older…lol) and I really appreciate the beautiful colors. There are many colors to choose from, or you can have it on color changing mode which I love! The keys are each separated from each other which is helpful to me to be more accurate in my typing. The other thing that is so great is that it is spill proof, meaning that if something spills on it the inside of the keyboard is protected and the liquid or food particles can just be wiped up without any problem or damage. I love it…it's so fun!
My 16 year old son and I share the computer I have this Razor Gaming keyboard hooked up to. This keyboard is quiet, which is great when you're playing a game and don't want to hear the tapity tap of keys competing with the game sounds. The lights add to the effects of playing. I love the fact that it's spill proof since my son has ruined keyboards in the past spilling/ knocking things over in the excitement of a game.
Keys feel very soft and I love the backlights on it. They are customizable with a program that downloads onto your computer once you plug it in. The keys are pretty quiet when typing which I prefer for gaming. You're not going to get any of that "clickyness" with this keyboard
I took a chance and picked this keyboard from Spark Review and I want to thank them for letting me use to write an honest review. I had to ask a friend how to set it up to use. All I can say is WOW to the colors. I like how it is spill proof if an accident happens. Well, I am a new gamer and I just love it, thanks to a young man of 30 had to teach me the ropes of how to use. An avid gamer will love this and really should buy one for themselves. It is going to take practice for me and I just want to say thanks again.
Love this keyboard. The keys are back-lit and the colors change from Purple to Red, to Orange, to yellow, to green, to turquoise, to blue and starts over. You can change how the colors change so they can be rolling colors from one side to another, or looking like the board is breathing, or fire, or a few other options. So fun. Will be getting one of these for game-player son to install on his computer.
When I received this product, I was amazed at all of the color combinations it had. I could make several effects. It is much easier when I am typing at night, I can see the keyboard well. I would recommend this keyboard to a gamer or just an average person like me who uses a computer.
This is my first gaming keyboard and I must say this is the best keyboard that I have ever owned. It's great for gaming very responsive keys and it's so much fun to type on. I didn't think I'd like the Razer Chroma part of it but i'ts actually nice I love having the ability to make my keyboard any color I want. So I'd say if you want a good fairly inexpensive keyboard for gaming or just for typing on you can't go wrong with Razer.
...and it may be my rubbish laptop at fault, idk, but I found I must directly turn on my preferred, custom colours. Also, I have to set the lighting very low, otherwise all the light surrounding each key makes the actual letters difficult to see. Apparently I shelled out $53.74 for this thing. I must have been in a holiday frenzy. fwiw, I'd like to be able to come back later and edit this review, as I've yet to fully explore its performance. I originally only wanted a backlit keyboard. General pricing of such things played no small part in me deciding to pay more for more options. I know it's right easy to lay out a couple hundred dollars on a gaming keyboard, $54 is not that bad. However, if there had been a physical location where I could go to try various keyboards before buying, I'd prolly not have purchased this one. I do like how it's possible to set individual colour to an individual key, but the unlined background is still an issue. I have not, at all, spent time trying to set macros for different games, so many features of this keyboard are not utilised. When I get around to that, this may be a 5-star keyboard, even if the light surrounding the keys is distracting. It really may be down to my awful laptop, idk: sometimes ,when the computer boots up, the lighted keyboard is not lighted, at all, so in a dark room, I have to turn on a light to turn the keys on. An unexpected positive of this keyboard is the actual feel of the coating of the keys. I bloody love how the keys feel. I have only played some Crusader Kings and Darkest Dungeon with the keys, neither of those require intense keyboard action, so I've no idea how excellent or not excellent it performs in shooting/slashing situations: I use a controller for those games I play. I may try this keyboard out for that one day, but not in time for this review. Summary: * Backlighting surrounding each key is a bit much, a wee bit blinding, but turning down the light makes it tolerable. * Wow, these keys feel amazing under my fingertips. Satiny. Writing with it is lovely! * Yes, setting a different colour for each key is labour-intensive, but defo ftw, a thing I'll always want in the future. * I know you can set macros--actually, even colour schemes--for individual games, which I've not explored, but I'm happy that is available for me when I'm ready. * This is NOT MECHANICAL. (I didn't need mechanical, but in case you do, it's not.) * Sometimes when I turn off my computer and then turn it back on, the keys either do not light at all, or it's the default "breathing" cycling of solid colours for all keys, and I have to go into the software to get to my custom scheme. Something about this seems wrong, that I have to sign into the Razer account, but I've not been able to quickly find a resolution. I think if I set custom colours and turn off my computer, when I turn it on next time, the keys should be the way I left them. *Probably worth $49.99+7.5% state sales tax paid.
Absolutely terrible seller and should be removed from Walmart's Marketplace. I was sold a malfunctioning product and the seller refuses to do an exchange when it was gifted for Christmas. We aren't even looking for a refund, just a fair exchange for a product that does not function properly. This is a basic keyboard and a commodity product, and not high tech gear or obsolete. An exchange should not be complicated.
