Great product. I carry it whenever I'm walking the nature trails for protection against aggressive dogs or potential bad guys. Clips to my pocket for easy access.

I like to walk, weather permitting, and even though it's a smaller town, due to so many dummies being on illegal drugs and drunk with booze, the crime is increasing overtime. I am elderly and was talking to a local policeman about what I could legally carry for protection. And he suggested getting a heavy duty hickory walking stick, mace or getting a handgun with a concealed carry permit. I decided to go with the Mace Gel, as it has a longer spray distance than the spray, and won't blow back in my face with a wind gust.

Have used this product while walking my dog and was attacked twice by aggressive dogs on the loose. Both times the dog immediately turned tail and ran away. I much prefer this gel over the aerosol spray.

Everyone who is out bar hopping, walking or shopping, especially if you are alone needs to have Pepper Gel with them. It works remarkable from around 18- 20 ft. It doesn't spray back in your face. It can take out several attackers at once. I have bought many and handed them out to all my friends. Makes a great gift for any single woman. If you are right hand clip it on your left side. Always use your thumb...you will have a better grip.

this canister spray works really well. used exactly the same stuff on duty, and the gel is the way to go, not the spray. this does not get back in your own face but it goes exactly where you wanted to up to about 12 to 15 ft. you want to hit the perp not yourself with the overspray. this stuff is very powerful and believe me it'll stop whoever you want to stop and they'll be crying for their mommy

I've used saber products for over 20 years in law enforcement and in my personal life. The saber gel is a unique product in the market and that it targets similar to a stream but has almost no cross-contamination. Before saber came out with the gel formula, the only option was foam. That shot in an a irregular stream and at the end of the can shot out a burst that was aerosolized. The gel has proven to be an improvement over the foam. This is a great product for somebody who has a high and sensitivity to pepper spray or works in a confined environment. The gel will allow you to have an effect on your target with a greatly reduced cross-contamination to yourself and others.

I have bought the SABRE pepper gels many times. The product works well. I suggest buying the gel instead of the plain spray because the gel squirts further and it seems more direct at hitting targets. Also, the gel isn't as affected by blow-back (wind) as the spray. Before spraying, first always think about which way the wind is blowing. If the product sprays back into your face, it will sting your eyes and may cause breathing problems. Pepper gel is a weapon use it safely, test it every once in a while to see if it's still squirting. There is an expiration date on each can.

This is the next generation of pepper spray because it comes in a gel. supposedly the gel is supposed to keep from blowback in the room or outside. in the wind. it comes with a dye. also that marks the assailant. canister is large so enough to potentially spray multiple people in a bad situation. The design is the flip up top for your thumb is easy and simple to grab and use out of your pocket. The only thing I wish they would sell is an exact copy of this spray without the pepper in it in a cheaper manner. it would be nice if someone could practice using it without fear of getting maced. they could sell it and label it as practice or such. I would pay $5 to $10 for a practice version so that I could practice using it at least once before needing it for real.

I have purchased multiples of these (good varmit/cat scatterers) and all worked well, except this last one. It did not "stream" like all the others but misted about 5-8 feet (not 15-18 like the others). Walmart "policy" says they won't refund/exchange so I called Sabrered.com and they were more than apologetic and sent me a form and pre-paid postage to replace the unit. No questions. I'll wait until after the holidays and order another and send in the defective one so I always have a third on hand. (I keep a back-up back-up). If you need something with more ooomph, the bear/big cat model is knockout stuff that hits almost 40 ft.!!

I dislike it cause it's not that much in there after two sprays!!!
