Safer Brand Slug & Snail Killer - 2 lb

Arrived on time , and I used it before , it is a good product . This is my second time buying it . I recommend it for use in your garden .

Safer brand slug and snail killer really does work. We were having issues with slugs around our crepe myrtle bushes and a couple of flower beds. The pellets were very easy to distribute and surprisingly not foul smelling at all like some repellents and killing agents. We cast the pellets on the dry mulch surrounding the crepe myrtles and the damp mulch around the flower beds which tends to retain more moisture in the morning. The directions recommend applying it to moist ground, however, after applying it to both wet and dry locations we found it to work equally well in both areas. We actually couldn't believe how quickly and effectively it worked. Frankly, I thought that it was too good to be true. I looked around the surrounding areas and plantings to see if maybe the slugs had just relocated, but son-of-a-gun I couldn't find a single slug anywhere. After only a week! Another reason I really like this brand is the fact that it is not harmful to pets or wildlife. We live out in the country and that was a concern of ours. It treats over 40 plus plants, isn't harmful to pets or wildlife and remains effective in both wet and dry conditions.......what more could you ask for.

I get slugs real bad on my front porch. Especially when it rains. I used as directed and applied around the perimeter of my porch one morning and went back out less than an hour later and the slugs were completely gone! Two days later it rained and still no slugs! I'm going strong on 3 weeks and still have yet to apply more! I'm very happy with this slug killer and recommended to anyone with slug problems.

I call this 'the year of the snail'. Never before have I had a problem. I have cats, outdoor cats. One day I picked up a cat plate the clean and grabbed right onto a slimy slug. Stuff happens on the homestead. Then a second time! I saw them on another plate, and Even a trail on the back of Shadow. Something had to give. Thank goodness there is a product SAFE for cats. Do take time to read the instructions, I had to find my glasses, it is well worth the time to read for effectiveness and duration. I am so glad it is organic and safe for both me, my cats, and my finger are happy too.

The snails seem to infest my entire property! It seems to be a constant battle. You manage to "thin the herd" and before you know it they have moved in from somewhere else. They love to hang out not only in my gardens but on my porches and sidewalks as well. Safer slug and snail killer is very effective and what I like the most is that it is safe to use around pets and wildlife. I feed the wild birds (have a lot around my house) and I own several dogs. I will be using Safer slug and snail killer for snail maintenance now. A little bit goes a long way and it can be reapplied every 14 days. I recommend this product to any one that has a snail problem, big or small. Works great!

I keep and maintain a garden and every year I have issues with several pests slugs included. I found this slug and snail killer to be quite effective. It gives very detailed instructions on the bag so you definitely want to keep it. I also really like that it's safe to use around pets and wildlife.

This review is for Safer Brand Slug & Snail Killer in a resealable 2 lb. bag. It states it treats up to 3,400 sq. ft per 2 lb. bag. It is supposed to be okay to use around pets and wildlife and to remain effective under varying weather and environmental extremes. I'm an avid gardener and used to own a garden center. So, I am well versed with testing gardening products. Due to the extensive gardens on my property, I am always battling slugs and snails because they cause a lot of damage to my plants. I have tried a lot of different products, mostly organic, and have even tried ones I made myself. I normally use something different and this is the first time I have used this product. I followed the directions when I used it. Spreading the bait on moistened soil where snails and slugs are present. The snails and slugs that consume the bait metabolize it and eventuality kills them. The literature states it is safe for use on lawns and in gardens and flowerbeds along with 40 crop types. I have a large organic vegetable area with fruit bushes and fruit trees that get a lot of snails and slugs so I'm glad it can be used around this type of vegetation. It is not organic. It's early spring here in Michigan so the slugs and snails are really becoming active. I have definitely noticed a decrease in slugs and snails in my gardens when I applied the product. So, it is working well.

Snails are always a problem on the rhubarb and strawberries so this product is great! Even after watering several times, I can see the pellets on the ground around the plants. It seems that there are no new holes in the rhubarb leaves. Time will tell when my strawberries start setting fruit if this Slug & Snail Killer saves me some fruit. I have high hopes.

I add this product to my garden and so far I haven't seen any snails or slugs and I'm glad. The product looks like little pellets. My garden is growing beautifully and I want to keep it that way. This product has a little smell; however, it is not overwhelming. I hope it continues to work.

We do not have a problem with slugs or snails damaging plants, but we do find many, many slugs on our patio at different times and an occasional slug finds it way into the house. Until we tried this product, we had not attempted to get rid of them; we have several animals and children, and their safety is our highest priority. We felt this product was safe and followed directions on the bag. I have not seen any slugs since application a few days ago. I can't tell how long the product lasts or necessarily how effective it is, but at this price point it is worth trying for those who have a snail or slug problem.
