So far, great!

skluvpunk May 27, 2013

We've only had these installed for a couple of days but so far working great. No complaints. We keep trying to open the cupboard forgetting about them, but they definitely do their job and we can't open them without pushing the latch down.

A must have for little ones

smalltownWV July 2, 2014

Great product. Easy to install, if you drill a small pilot hole first. They are slotted which makes them adjustable, which is great if you mount it off just a little bit.

They work like a charm!

rosie93 March 8, 2014

Just what I needed to keep my son out of my cleaners and such. And they shipped rather quickly.

Does job, but a pain to install!

1stTimeMom15 December 14, 2015

We got these because some of the other options wouldn't work for the different drawers and cabinets we have throughout the house. I bought them thinking that I could quickly install them without any power tools... Well I was wrong. I had to ask my husband (who is a carpenter and uses his drill all day) to install them. He was fed up with them before he even installed the first piece, but he put them on all the cabinets that our 11 month old used to open and get into. So far they seem to hold up really well! After a few tries of trying to open the cabinet and realizing that she's not getting in, our daughter loses interest and walks away. I like that you can't see that your cabinets are baby proofed, so it doesn't take away from the look of the kitchen. I just wish they were easier to install.

difficult to mount

it needs much precision with mounting needs pre drilling..you cannot work with your screw drivers ...

Safety 1st Spring Loaded Latches

George November 20, 2016

I did not install these as they are shorter than what I wanted. The short ones make it difficult for adults with arthritic knuckles to get their fingers in without scratching the knuckles. Wish the description showed the size or stated short.

Too much work

MrRoberto September 12, 2016

This requires too much work and will permanently put holes in your cabinets. I plan to return them and find something less obtrusive.

All the hooks broke off

BArctor May 6, 2014

I bought these in Walmart, not online, and I installed them according to the package directions. After about a week, all the hooks had broken off. I put a second hook on, and that broke as well. The hook end is hollow, and it breaks quite easily under a normal, everyday amount of pressure (such as an adult forgetting that there's a child lock on the cabinet). I can't believe how irresponsible it is for a company to sell these so cheaply made. People are putting their faith that their kid will be safer. Don't buy.

Human-Proof Locks

Ebird June 3, 2015

I purchased these to keep our baby out of our cupboards. They keep everyone out, because the locks themselves are not long enough to get your finger down in the cupboard to release the lock! The instructions and package say that if you have a 1 inch overhang or more on your cupboards, then this problem may arise. Our cupboards are 1/2 inch and we have to stick a pen or the end of a fork down to release the lock. I'll be removing these and returning them promptly. The "template" they give you is also ineffective, and the instructions are worse then building something from Ikea.
