Of course its kind of hard to get the seatbelt through the bk of the seat, I think most are. I bought as an extra seat as I am the grandma. I chose this so it wld grow with him. He is almost 3 months %26 it snuggles him well, I love how it recliners perfectly for an infant. I made the decision for the seat that will grow with him, but it is a pain because you can't just unsnap him from a base %26 carry him in a carseat with a handle. It is however best for us since he's not with us that much. We have a Dodge full size truck, the bottom is too big to fit in the middle of the benched seat so we have to put him on the bk passenger side. I don't like that, but that is more of a vehicle seat issue to me. Somethings to think about though if your seat depth is less in the middle. Overall I like it, holds him securely, easy to snap, I like the color, %26 it seems like it is a safe seat to be in.
Sadly I had to experience whether this carseat was truly safe since i was in a car accident and totaled my vehicle. I was pretty banged up but my daughter was perfectly okay! She didnt even wake up from her nap in the backseat which i think is both a testament to this seats safety and comfortability 😂 It was a pain to install due to my car's seats being slightly tilted but after rereading the installation instructions like 75 times i got it in there safely but other than that it was great. The buckles are very easy to do with long nails compared to graco and costco seats. My favorite feature is the strap pads, i have a chunky little nugget and with the pads i don't have to worry about the straps digging into her neck. I have two more coming tomorrow for both my kids 🤷🏻♀️ Overall i recommend this seat as long as youre not consistently transferring it from one car to the other because its a pain to install (or im just smooth brained idk).
My 1 year old recently outgrew his infant carrier. I spent a lot of time researching and comparing models on various platforms, and this is the one I kept leaning towards, and when I asked two different AI to compare the 6 options I presented it, this is the one both recommended. I could not be more satisfied with this seat. Prior to upgrading, my baby would SCREAM the entirety of every single car ride. Once I got him in this Safety 1st Grow and Go Sprint seat, he was immediately calm and he fell asleep quickly, which him napping in the car has not happened in over 6 months. I almost cried. He is so content and comfortable in this seat, and my sanity is saved. I know he is secure, I tugged and pulled and tried to jostle it before I could trust it with my baby, and it did not move any more than the expected/needed allowance. The padding is a good thickness and does not seem to hold heat (a prior issue with infant carrier as well - baby is no longer sweaty after a short ride). The dual cupholders do so much work for this child that always needs a snack. Installation was straightforward, and instructions super easy to follow. I love how adjustable this seat is in every way, and it will definitely grow as my baby grows. Plenty of legroom while still rear-facing. I could not recommend this car seat any more. I was hesitant because I'm programmed to feel like more expensive = better, but we know that's not true. This seat is an excellent value, safe, comfortable.
It is a very good car seat. Once it is set up for your infant putting them in and out is a breeze. Getting to that point however, if you have big hands, is a pain. It locks the seat nicely which I appreciate but getting the seatbelt run through without losing the slack and having to start over and over again is aggravating.
this waa a nice upgrade. I love how comfortable it looks and my 1 year old doesnt seem to dislike being in it as much as her previous carseat. I do wish the reclining handle was in the back insteadnof the front but it makes sense if your kiddo will be front facing. The purple color is really pretty and also.like the 2 cup holders. I absolutely recommend!
I dont like how thin the padding is and how the head rest stick out i had previously bought one just like it but it was the camila 2 but they are completely sold out so bummed but I thought since it was the same make it would be similar but its really not and there is a gap where the head rest is and the back of my baby and when I put her in I can feel the plastic so added some old infant insert from my previous car seat to it and it helped. I loved the price just wish the padding and head rest was different
I purchased this same car seat 2 years ago and this one is not made as well as the earlier purchase. Therefore, I could not give it a top rating. The most important issue I found that is disconcerting was the straps, instead of them being all one piece, they have been sewn together. Not ideal for safety.
I like how comfortable it is for my daughter but it was very difficult trying to install it to get the level line matched up to where it needed to be. It was also really hard trying to pull the anchor strap tighter to secure it to the hooks in your vehicle.
In a jeep compass, rear-facing, this car seat doesn't fit very well. It is almost impossible to install it without it being tilted and just doesn't seem to fit in the seat properly. I think forward facing would be better for this car seat but it didn't work for me. The quality was good and it looks very nice, but it is not easy to install if needing the car seat to be moved often. The straps are also extremely thin and twist so easily and I personally do not feel that my child would be safe with the straps.
The car seat looked okay. Little bulkier than the Graco slimfit that I have but I wanted something cheaper. We tried installing this in two different vehicles and could not get it tight. After over an hour of trying, I boxed it back up and returned it. Bought another Graco slimfit and got it installed in under 2 minutes.
