Work really well. I like how you can disable them if you don't need them working constantly. Works great for us grand parents that don't have littles in the house all the time. The adhesive is hit or miss. A couple we had to use the supplied screws. Overall , they are a great product for the money.
The unlatch / unlock feature is a game changer! I've tried both the kinds that you have to install by screwing on as well as these and I prefer these hands down! Installation is incredibly simple because they are adhesive locks that just line up and stick on, so there's no drilling, measuring, or complicated setup. My favorite feature is the ability to turn them to the unlocked position when you don't need them. That means you can use your cabinets normally without having to remove or uninstall the lock every time, which is especially helpful as toddlers get older or when guests are over. The adhesive has held up well and they stay secure once installed.
Buy these! They are so much better than you can imagine as far as ease of installation (no measuring or screws required). Bought others that didn't work and required measurements so these were a godsend. Whoever designed these really thought of everything and should win some engineering award. The design takes all the guesswork out. Smooth open and shut and catches like a dream when in the lock position. Thank you Safety First!
This was one of the best purchases I have ever made. I have a couple of very curious cats who get into everything, especially drawers and cabinets. These locks have done the trick. I have trouble figuring out written instructions, but the video was easy to follow. I had the locks installed in less than 5 minutes.
These are my favorite safety locks by far. We have tried many and these ones hold on great and keep little hand out. They are easy to open and lock/unlock (for adults)
Very simple installation. Instructions said to mount inside the door a little further than I now would have done if I could go back. It is difficult to get my fingers in there comfortably. Another thing to note, it's not easy at all to turn the locks to lock/unlocked and pushing it down can be challenging at times. If I had not allowed the 1 inch space it recommended, I think I would be happier.
It's good if you use it for the right things. Drawers or doors are not the best thing because you have to stick your finger in quite a ways to unlock it.
when a toddler pulls on the cabinet and continues to pull on it because they know it opens it does not stop them from pulling the adhesive side off of one or the other side. we have this on 4 cabinets and there is onely 1 left and that is because she doesnt get in it. there is nothing in there.
Easy to install, and affordable but if you have older style cabinets (1950s-60's) they fit so tight your toddler can't open the drawers but neither can you.
These are much more difficult to use than others I've had to keep toddlers out of cabinets in the past. I hurt my finger trying to open and it's swollen. Definitely not ideal if you have older kids who still need to be able to get into cabinet.
