Sakura Cray-Pas Expressionist Extra Fine Oil Pastels, Assorted Colors, Set of 50

Easy to work with, using tips and techniques I found on Youtube instructional videos for oil pastels......also these are the right for more as I find smaller is easier for me to use!

I have only had experience with the cheaper the of the pastel world and decided to try some that cost a little more. I must admit it's worth the extra cost when it comes to blending and pigment pop compared to less expensive pastels

I love these oil pastels for blending with softer brands. They provide a really solid foundation for whatever you're working on and the pigment is really high quality.

the shipping was very fast. I haven't actually opened the package as it is a gift, but it did come well packed. nothing seems amiss.

Oil pastels used to be if you wanted good quality to go cheap these days it is the opposite. Same amazing brand just more expensive

My children's online art teacher recommended these. They work well as a step up from a beginner set. They do a fairly decent job and the colors for the most part are vivid!

Nice colors smooth application

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would consider my skill level with painting with different mediums as not quite a beginner, but creeping into intermediate. I had a hard time working with these, the consistency is like lipstick. I could not get them to layer, and blending just turned it pretty muddy. It helped a little if I worked and then let it set a little bit and went back. However, I found it the nicest looking when I basically was left with just the staining of the pastel. I'll keep working with them to try to find the learning curve, but they are definitely not beginner friendly.
