Samsung Galaxy S8 64GB (Unlocked) - Midnight Black

I really like this phone. The security is ideal for my needs, I use it for both work and pleasure. I bought a Otter case from Walmart and its saved my phone multiple times!

I bought received this phone as a present a year ago. It was a phone out of a science fiction movie. I love it. Then, problems became an issue. I had burn in my screen and water in the charging port. Which, might I add The phone no contact with water in the 1 year spand. I was also having problems with it glitching out sometimes I had to restart the phone just so it doesn't happen that often. Nevertheless, Samsung recommended me to a repair shop that did everything under the 1 year warranty. I was extremely happy with what they recommended me because they told me they couldn't hand my phone back till it was 100% performance level that Samsung wishes all devices to be. My phone is in tip top condition and I would recommend it to anyone buying a phone despite the few problems.

I was probably the last person to make the switch from Windows Phone to Android. It was painful, not having the apps I wanted but, loved the platform and compatibility with other Windows products but, it was a long time coming and I'm glad I made the switch. I was able to add all of the apps I had and, alot more that I didn't and wanted. The face recognition and fingerprint sensor adds a high level of security. I can finally bank, use my rewards cards, etc. Cases and screen protectors actually fit! I no longer feel like a red headed stepchild when commuting. Bluetooth works well, it even reminds me to check into WiFi networks when close. I am very satisfied with this phone , the only issue is I waited way too long!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always been a fan of Samsung products. When I first got the S8, I was excited. Samsung Galaxy S8. 5.8 inches of AMOLED screen with almost no bezel. The screen is in a 18:9 aspect ratio compared to the movie standard of 16:9 so basically you will not get 5.8 inches of screen when watching videos. There will be black bars on the left and right of the screen. There is an option to crop it to fit the whole screen though. No problems with the screen being hard to read outdoors in sunlight. There is a fingerprint reader on the back of the phone that works wonderful. I never felt that it was hard to reach the spot to get it to work. The exterior of the S8 is mostly a glossy glass which is a big finger print magnet and is slippery to hold. A good case will fix this. An annoying thing I find myself doing is always accidentally pressing the "Bixby" button when I was wanting to adjust the volume. There is no physical home button or the capacitive buttons like on previous galaxy phones. Swiping up from the bottom of the screen brings up the buttons. Alarm clock has a neat feature where it will ring and have a voice prompt giving you the time and weather for the day. The "Always on" screen while phone is in standby mode is a great feature where it displays the time, date, and other useful informations but only displays in portrait mode. Standing it up on the side of the phone will not rotate the clock. All in All.... The new S8 is a good upgrade with great features. Sleek, thin and light phone with the best in class screens makes it worth it.

Bought this unlocked phone so was able to keep my number, just had to buy a new micro card from my carrier. My photos and apps were transferred over with the software and adapter that came with the phone. So Cool. So Easy. Love the size and ease of use. Just needed to buy the adapters as this has the new C charger. Now I have one in my wallet that I take with me and a few around the house. I have a solar charger that I keep one with too. Battery lasts a long time. Didn't know how slow and bad my last phone was until I bought this one. I can multitask so many things with this. Bought a hard case and glass cover. Love that you can open apps with your fingerprint instead of typing in username and password all the time. Just depends on the app of course. I hate to carry a purse so love that this fits in my back pocket and then a little wallet and I can wear cute tops and not look all bulky. It is a full screen that is so pretty and crisp and sound. It lets you know that you have a text message if you didn't hear it so you don't have to keep turning on your phone to check. little blue light flashes. Just so many little features that my old phone didn't have I have only had a month and I keep finding more things out about this phone. Highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start by saying I was dead set on purchasing the Note 8. For financial reasons ONLY, I decided to go with the bundle deal. Let me tell you, I am NOT disappointed in any way. I absolutely LOVE my S8 and I wouldn't trade it for the world right now. My first epic moment was discovering the fact that I can divide the screen and work on TWO things at once. Can we say MULTI-TASKING EASY PEASY!!! On to my next epic thrill was the AWESOME feature called Bixby!! Who would have known the commands this little deal could do? I can take a picture of anything I need additional info on and this little gadget will give me details about it. So STOKED on it, I use it against Google!!! LMBO, seriously, try it!!! My children have since discovered my little friend Bixby and have since used it against me when I ask questions about hypothesis only the internet can handle. I'm overly impressed by the retina and fingerprint security features. It was very easy to set-up. It only took me two tries and I was ready to go. However, I am a fancy girl and I have long nails and that can be pretty tricky when I have to use my fingerprint to unlock my phone. So, to alleviate that, I only use it when I am going to be out of the house. Let's move along to the one feature that EVERYONE was talking about at the store, the CAMERA. YASSSSSS honey, the camera is so clear and precise I can see everything I want to see and even some things I don't!!! The adorable little animations that you can utilize to make your pics even MORE picturesque are to die for. I mean who knew I can catch fish in my mouth just by opening my mouth!!! Totally hilarious. On to the battery, I have had many cell phones that usually die after 24 hours. This phone can hold it charge VERY well. I may have to charge it fully every other day. No, I'm not a HEAVY cell phone user, but I am better that an average user. The storage is great for all the apps and the pics I need, no complaints there. The functionality of this phone is great for beginners, pros, and tweenies (in between). I can honestly say I am very impressed with the S8. The fact that I can track my GF2 health along with the S8 is priceless. I have become more health conscious since I purchased both. I set daily goals and monitor my exercise more now that I have ever. These are great products and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an affordable, well built pair of mobile accessories. Though I haven't been using it long I am happy with the performance. I would prefer it to be somewhat smaller. My last phone was a Samsung Galaxy 5 mini and I tried to go with something similar but this seemed to be as near the size of the mini without giving up too much performance.

Disappointed there isn't a phone case that protects the screen. The glass screen covers available keeps popping off. its very easy to damage the screen without a protective cover or one that keeps coming off. I have replaced to glass screen protector 2x the first week I've Owens this phone

the phone is set in Chinese language and cant change because phone wo t unlock to go to settings AND I DON'T SPEAK MUCH LESS READ CHINESE VERY UPSET WITH WASTING TIME AND MONETARY

BEWARE, SCAM!!! The listing said the phone was new, but that is not the case. When the phone arrived the IMEI number on the box was blacked out with marker, and didn't match the phone. There was no manual, no protective film on the phone screen and it was covered in fingerprints and surface scratches.
