I was worried after reading many reviews mentioned that this is international version and hence would be difficult to setup in Canada. To my surprise everything went very well and all the functions are working great. Only negative point about Galaxy 7 is the battery. Needs recharging once every two days.
Used Fitbit for many years but chose Samsung because the Fitbit watch strap broke continuously. The major disappointment with the Galaxy 7 is the battery life. I consider three (3) days of use on a full charge to be very disappointing and somewhat surprising given that the watch is set on power save mode. I really expected better from Samsung.
This item was purchased as a birthday gift for my husband. Upon activation we were not able to select United States as a region or country. North America wasn't even an option just countries in South America and Puerto Rico. When I Googled what would be the reason why, it said this: "Your Galaxy Watch is likely not showing the United States as a country because the watch itself is region-locked to a different country, often due to being a "parallel import" or a version not intended for the US market." Then it suggested the only way to fix this would be to return it and purchase one from a US market. 🤦🏼♀️😡
I would like to have more transparency when buying on Walmart, whether this was an American domestic market watch, or an Egypt international watch. Since I'm using it only with Bluetooth I will be keeping the watch, but if I wanted to use 4G calling and Data features through my cell carrier, I cannot because I was not properly informed that this was a watch coded for Egypt. Therefore I cannot use it on American cell towers. Be aware!
Purchased this watch off of the Wal Mart website. Waited 2 weeks for it to be shipped and when it finally arrived it was a fake Samsung watch that looked and felt like a toy watch. Terrible purchase, don't think I will buy anything off the Wal Mart website again.
The 3rd party vendor via Walmart.ca sent a fake Samsung Galaxy 7 Watch. Poorest quality and did not connect with Samsung Wear. I doubt the ship tracking was real as there were several anomalies including the watch being "delivered" but showing up a few days later after filing a complaint. The 3rd party vendor name on the Walmart.ca website did not match the vendor fulfiling the order. I returned the watch promptly to Walmart for a refund.
I did not realize an International Watch could be location locked. Which means you will not get the full benefits of the watch. I live in Canada, purchasing from a Canadian website, I expected the product to be canadian or american, and fully functional in my region. Was very disappointed.
Its falsely advertised as an "international" version, even though its region locked to the middle east. Walmart also advertised this in their black friday flyer, which is where its really gets me. When you look at things in the flyers, you assume its sold by Walmart, which gives you false security. Allowing 3rd party sellers into your flyers devalues your brand. 3rd party sellers leverage Walmarts established trust to peddle falsely advertised products.
This Samsung Galaxy Watch7 40mm with Galaxy AI | GPS Bluetooth Smartwatch International Version | Brand New, is locked for Canada region because it doesn't let to setup our region but the only the Middle East regions. I was completely frustrated how Walmart Canada could sell Canada region locked watches on Walmart Canada site?
I bought an unlocked Galaxy watch in fort Oglethorpe Georgia. It's unlocked for the the Middle East. I had a Galaxy watch 4 and had no problem with it that I had purchased from Walmart but somehow it disappeared. I can't use this. I don't plan to go back to the Middle East. Ever.
