overall a very nice IPS monitor. the color is great out of the box. The only complaint I have is that free sync premium does not seem to be supported officially as stated. My AMD adrenaline drivers option says the monitor supports variable refresh rate technology but does not specify free sync premium. I would recommend immediately updating the monitor driver software as there is some input switching errors in older versions.
Absolute steal of a deal. I originally ordered a G5 series on Amazon but was scammed. The seller sent a G3 instead. After getting my return I figured I'd look for a monitor elsewhere, only to stumble upon this deal! 4K, 144hz for 300$?? I was going to pay 250$ for the 2K G5! I almost immediately bought this item. It arrived super fast (ordered Thursday, arrived Monday) and its exactly what it said. Picture quality has been amazing--Elden Ring and Skyrim look better than I even expected at 4K. Anywho, 300$ is an amazing deal for this amazing monitor. I would highly recommend this product if it goes on sale again.
This monitor is everything you could ask for when it comes to console gaming. I got it when the price dropped to $299 and after shopping around for weeks I'll tell you at this point in time you will be hard pressed to find a monitor that will do 4k at 120hz at the same time from a reputable brand for any less than what I spent on this. I was honestly shocked to see a Samsung 4k monitor at that price. Has built in speakers. They're nothing special but a lot of monitors don't have those so its a plus if you just wanna take your headset off for a bit. So all together you got 4k, 144hz, HDR10, IPS panel, built in speakers, and RGB backlights. It's also a smart monitor which I didn't even know until I unboxed it. They don't really say that in the description but it is. Comes with a nice little rechargable remote which you can also use to voice control. Unless you're on PC trying to push 300hz or something I can't think of one feature this thing is missing. As long as it holds up I can't imagine needing another monitor for quite some time. The colors pop on this compared to my last monitor even without HDR active. Has a sturdy stand. I've only had it a few weeks so we will see if it stands the test of time but with it being a Samsung I am confident. 10/10 Snag this thing.
I got it for $300 and it's an amazing monitor for that price. Samsung however, does not have a very good UI for settings, and I had to delete the samsung tv app so it didn't open to that every time I turn it on. It connects to bluetooth devices seamlessly and you can toggle off the RGB lights. Great remote!
I'm loving this monitor. 4k @ 120 fps on Xbox series x. Plus a Ton of features such as Split source display, has a built in web browser, nvidia GeForce cloud gaming support (Which allows you to link your games on steam and Xbox, then play them via the monitor) and a bunch's other stuff through the SmartThings hub
Monitor came earlier than expected, and was in pristine condition, was a bit heavier than I thought it would be. The monitor has a lot of features to it, like the rbg coloring, bluetooth connection and even being able to be used as a usb hub for other devices. The refresh rate and quality of the monitor is really nice, and played videos and games smoothly, however it can be slightly limited by what device you have it hooked into. When I wasn't in the window that the monitor was using, there was a bit of frame drops but nothing too bothersome. My only issue is with how aggressively bright the monitor is, if after adjusting the setting a lot. Other than that, the monitor has been pretty great.
Monitor looks amazing, the quality is amazing and love the way it looks. Just have an issue with it that really is making me upset. The screen will randomly go black and can't see anything, then the sounds starts to go off and on. I like the smart connect that it detects what you connect with HDMI. I use the HDMI 1 port but it doesn't pick up my consoles. For the Xbox x the resolution goes down to 640 and look worse than a 90s tv. I thought it was my HDMI cable but that wasn't the case after buying 3 new HDMI 2.1 When I connect to second HDMI port it picks up the console but still turns off randomly. But the second port doesn't make the resolution go down to 640 it will actual stay at 4k Great if you use it of the cloud gaming
While it does seem like a great deal and monitor I had a difficult time trying to get decent picture quality. I've constantly tweaked the picture settings from restarting the settings and trying again to buying different HDMI 2.1 cords to messing with my PS5 graphics to better fit the TV. Then the HDMI 2.1 port just stopped working. I only plugged 3 cords into it! now it won't show anything. the HDMI 2.0 port works just fine so I'm not sure what happened there. I've gotten constant blooming and ghosting with no luck trying to remedy the problem. Also, it would periodically glitch or freeze briefly while gaming. It may be a good monitor for some but I just couldn't get it to work for me.
Dp not working, hdmi does ?! 144hz doesnt work native. If you can set to 12bit, it works. 10 doesnt seem too. Picture okay but colors are off. The menu is obtuse to adjust quickly. Overall blur / hue across picture, not clear crisp. Most of these things you dont notice unless compared to a nicer picture. Dont like their game mode, you have to enable this to enable that. You may not want or need xyz. We only need x..
Bought this is it was advertised as a gaming monitor(not a TV) and I needed a replacement. Hooked it up to my PC, turned it on, and I was informed I needed to download an app to my phone to set it up. Weird, but ok. Did that. Synced the app with the device. My PC saw that something was there as I had it connected via included Displayport, but the device wouldn't display anything but the setup screen and instructions. After I set everything up, I was supposed to control the device through the phone app, select what shows I wanted to watch, etc... The only option for anything related to PC use was Connect wirelessly to your PC! Log in to your PC wirelessly! You have to add it as a connected device via the windows setup. If I wanted another smart TV, I would buy something that's advertised as a Smart TV. I needed a PC gaming monitor, and this is not it. Will be returning tomorrow. For a smart tv, or perhaps a tv for console gaming, this may be amazing. For the advertised purpose of a gaming monitor, its an expensive paperweight.
