Samsung - T7 2TB External USB 3.2 Gen 2 Portable SSD with Hardware Encryption MU-PC2T0H/AM

Works as intended, doesn't have issues with overheating like some other external drives do. Speed is as advertised and it's lasted me months so far with no issues and on top of that it's cheaper than a lot of the competition. I highly recommend this even over more expensive options since the cooling is just so well done here. The thing is durable as its seen a few falls and worked just fine.

Honestly, I wanted it to keep it but Walmart curbside gave me an open package and missing the paper inside. I did a quick test with my Samsung phone. I was able to do a quick backup in less than 3 minutes and erased it. When I went back to look for another one they didn’t have one.

This product came within a day even faster than Amazon. The price was even a little under Amazon's discounted price. New package nice design small and light to carry around. It is easy to connect and just freed up my harddrive. Would definitely recommend.

I needed an easy to use and compact lightweight backup drive for my 3 week Safari in africa. every night I would download high volumes of RAW files to this backup Drive and it was fast and very easy.

While the ssd worked perfectly with my samsung phone, super fast speed, connection with my mac was another story. So before you add anything to the ssd, plug it into your mac and format to exfat, it will not work otherwise. Besides that, i recommend.

Haven't had this T7/1TB drive all that long....but, so far, it has done everything as advertised. Speed is surprisingly quick. Do like the compact size, solid feel and actually the color too. Comes with two sets of necessary cables so that's a plus. It also comes with Samsung's recovery software (bloatware) that I chose not install/use. I do wish the manufacturer would have included a case for safe keeping...however, I did find one from a non Wal-Mart source. In the end, the Wal-Mart price made this a good buy for for a quality product compared to competitor's prices. With this portable SSD, I was able to free up some much needed space on the SSD in my laptop and still have easy access to anything I copied off.

First Walmarts price was $30-$50 less than others for the same product. Most important is I have both a MacBook and a windows 11 laptop. Right out of the box I was able to hook it up to both machines and transfer files seamlessly. One interesting observation is I have another portable ss hard drive and when I hooked it and the Samsung to the windows machine, it went bonkers. The new Samsung comes configured in the compatible file format for both, while the older drive was formatted only for windows. There might be a secret handshake there but I didn’t explore it long enough to figure it out. .

This survey explains why so many reviews are out of whack. I can't rate the item yet, because I still haven't received it. So, most customers might put 1 star, which slams the quality of a product they haven't even used. Any more stores and they're praising a product they haven't yet received or used. Makes no sense. I put 3 stars, because it's not fair to blame Samsung for Walmart's shortcomings

It is difficult to use the software: one that comes pre-installed and another that you download from Samsung. Neither seems to work by showing you how/if the product is backing up your data. In frustration I just put the product aside. I will eventually pull it back out and try to work with it. I may end up calling Samsung.

I ordered 2 items to be shipped by Walmart this items was missing from the delivery and because they have a picture of a delivery package on my doorstep they will not refund or provide the missing item. Walmart check your security cameras this is dishonesty on your employees behalf. Don’t blame me.!!!!! Find the dishonest employee!!!!!
