I use these tent poles in the Ricky’s of a tarp to use as a camping awning. $20 for the poles and $10 for the tarp. Compared to over $100 for an awning this is amazing.
Convenient to use with all the sections or less sections for a shorter pole. I feel that these would not be strong enough for any large heavy tarp or use in windy conditions.
I grabbed these after the other set my dad had went missing. We used them to put up a small awning over our 10 person tent. I used rope at the top of the pole to secure them to a tree, not sure how stable it would be stakes in the ground. Definitely would prefer them in a 4 pack and with a better support base, but overall great product for the price!
I use my poles set to support a tarp between my camping tent and screened kitchen. Gives perfect support to tarp, plus the tent and screened tent. I live in North Dakota where the wind always blows. The extra support is always a blessing. Even in a severe thunderstorm.
compact and size adjustable light weight
The poles are what I wanted. They are light weight. I'm sure they would not stand a lot of side pressure depending on how many pieces are used for different heights. More pieces used, easier for pole to flex. Great for camping and a dining fly. Not sure about a heavier tarp.
I'm still trying to find the best way to use them without help. I do everything by myself, so some things are challenging. The only thing I don't like is that they could be taller, at least for what I need them for. They seem to be made fairly well. I'd definitely recommend them!
Very well made. Not telescopic, comes in sections that you put together. Can leave a section out to make it shorter. Am pleased with the product. Comes in nice bag.
Junk. 2 of the poles broke in half on the first night. They were not 95" they were 86" which was too short for the setup I needed. Save your time and money and buy something thats more sturdy. Because I can guarantee one good gust of wind is going to destroy yours as it did mine.
Flimsy. They're quite thin/narrow, so they won't hold up under any sort of wind. I regret buying them.
