Sceptre 50" Class 4K UHD LED TV U515CV-U

We were specifically looking for a NON smart tv, our current one was ok, but nearly 10 years old. We try to get appliances and devices that don't have to always be online . It is VERY hard nowadays to find a NON smart tv…just try looking. We did, and this was the only one that Walmart carries, that i know of. I read all the reviews on it, and a couple mentioned that the only complaint was that the sound quality was not that good. Well, together we made the decision to get this one- knowing it will probably have a better picture then our old 1080p one-( and it does !!) and knowing that the sound may not be the best, we thought thats ok, we'll just get a soundbar- which we now have arriving soon.. the price was reasonable, and we enjoy it.

We love Sceptre TV's! Tis is the 5th one we have purchased since 2011. The color is awesome and have a very clear picture. They are very easy to use. It is not a smart TV which I don't care for. We are still using th 1st one we bought, 1 we gave as a gift. All in all the Sceptreis the best!

Great picture. Sound is much better that the smaller version i had. Only instalation was to put on the feet . Speaking of which, the write up states there is a 15° swivel. No such thing. Standard feet are provided, However this was not enough of a factot to have me return the set.

perfect for my needs. didn't want a smart TV, just need something basic. this TV has a nice picture, easy setup, fairly simple and straightforward menu and settings. no need to be an AV pro to work this thing. sounds could be a bit better, but can't really beat it for the price. 3 HDMI inputs give me enough options for my cable box, DVD player, and an extra for another source if needed. it would also be great to have a more universal remote control with added functionality for other devices.

So in ten years when the 1st Sceptre 50"" Class 4K UHD LED TV I recently got from Walmart stops working I'll have a replacement in case they are no longer on the market."

I love the picture on this set. The color is excellent and spot on. The sound is terrible. You have to use a separate sound bar. whick is OK, except if it's not blue tooth, you have to operate a separate remote. Just wish they would upgrade the sound on the TV.

Great picture but tv does not stay on the HDMI setting therefore having to always accessing the source feature to connect to cable. And my elderly mother can not make the changes.

Inexpensive non-smart tv made in china. I was lucky to get one with no defects, at least none showed up yet. Works great with Xfinity and my iPhone.

Cheap made and tape stuck all around screen really hard to get off d. Dark corners on screen possibly from shipping or removing the tape. I was very careful ! Label was replaced twice And item arrived late because it never left the last stop only 2:30 from my house. Came two or three days later after complaining. Fedex is the worst person to ship a Tv with !!!!!! They throw stuff around its is always abused. I may sent this back trying to see if it is damaged or just has dark corners anyway. Also a faint whitish glow around edge.

"Item arrive with the metal on the back bent, not a problem I thought, as long as the screen works. I was wrong, after watching something for like an hour, I noticed that there was a white light coming from the side that had the bent casing and upon further inspection with a fully white screen, the upper corner of the screen was entirely black. This happened straight from the box, I even had a friend help me set it up so I wouldn't mess up the screen. Now I have to go through a return process that will probably take at least 2 weeks. PLEASE stock some ""****"" TVs in store so people who do not need streaming services can just watch their physical media in peace."
