Scholastic Children's Dictionary, (Hardcover)

This is a good beginner's dictionary that helps your young reader look up and learn the meaning of common words they encounter in their daily work. The size of the print, inclusion of pictures, and example word uses in sentences make this valuable for the young learner and are much better than the dry text-only dictionaries that I grew up with. Not all words have pictures, but they use pictures for select words on each page. The page index provides a useful guide where you are alphabetically. The book is big and heavy so you wouldn't carry this back and forth to school but good a a school or home reference.

I love this book. Has really amazing pictures and very easy for my kids to understand. We use it every day during homeschooling.

This is a well -made, hardcover dictionary for kids. The pages aren't too thin for kids that are a little rougher on books. The images are colorful and the definitions are easy to understand for elementary kids. This will be a great addition and resource for our homeschooling curriculum. (Current walmart employee)

Book appeared to be in good condition, however a name was already printed inside the front cover of the book. This information was not disclosed on the order form.

i ordered 2 of these for my kids school supplies and i was sent 2 books with kids names written all over them and the outside covers are ripped and torn.
