I'm new to spinning/cycling, so of course researched the bikes available before purchasing. This one was highly ratings and for a good reason. It is so well built. I was honestly surprised by how study and solid it is. It's extremely quiet and performs seamlessly. The only criticism I have is that the bottle holders, because of their position below the handlebars, require short bottles to avoid the bottle hitting your knees while in a standing position. #sweepstakes
It's always ready. Every time I look at it I can't help but jump on! Doesn't matter what I'm wearing. Don't have to put on special "workout" clothes or shoes. If I want to do 3 minutes, 5 minutes, 15 or 30, it's up to me. I'm 71 years old and I wish I'd gotten this years ago!
I had gotten really into spin workouts at my local gym, but found it difficult to get there sometimes day to day. So, I started researching spin bikes that could work in my home. I was on a budget so was definitely trying to keep my purchase below $600. After a lot of research, including trying some bikes in shops, I landed on this one and I am very pleased so far. It's super easy to set up, is very quiet and sturdy, and has met all of my expectations and needs. I love that even if I only have about 30 minutes, I can hop on the bike, get in a good workout and go about my day. Before that would have been at least an hour between getting to the gym, changing, and my commute home, which means I worked out much less than I do now. I've only had the bike for a month, but so far, I really love it!
I ride my bike 3/4 times a week using the Peloton app. It has been life changing for me. It's so easy to just get on the bike in the morning or after work because it's right here in my home. There are no more excuses. I literally said to my family members the other day "I look at it and it makes me smile."
My wife and I are in our late 60s and we use the bike for general health and fitness. We are extremely happy with the comfort and ease of use. The bike is great for our cardio vascular health. It's also a great bike if you're tight for space. Great product.
I use 5 days a week 1 hour a day. Love everything about it accept the seat It is horrible. I ordered the replacement seat and it is wonderful. Very comfortable.
My kids are at that age where they're too young to be left alone, yet old enough to be able to manage for themselves while I get things done around the house. My husband leaves for work early in the morning (out the door by 6am most days). I was looking for a way to expand my work out regime without having to join a gym or it being to expensive. It was important to me that I not be tied to any one app. My only complaint is that I've had to recalibrate the bike already. I've only had it for a few weeks.
Disappointing Quality for the Price I was initially excited about purchasing a Schwinn bike, but my experience so far has been deeply disappointing. While the bike was easy to assemble, it definitely requires two people. My husband and I managed to complete the assembly in about 1 hour and 30 minutes. However, as soon as we finished and started testing the bike, issues arose. The moment I began pedaling, we noticed a strange sound coming from the front wheel. Upon closer inspection (with my husband holding the bike while I pedaled), we discovered that the front wheel was scraping against a loose screw. The screw was somehow attached to the magnet that connects or stabilizes the wheel. It was extremely difficult to remove and took 30 minutes of struggling before we could fix it. Once resolved, we had to reassemble several parts again. Now, after only 10 days of use, another issue has emerged: the pedals have started making noise. I'm not a mechanic, and at this point, it feels like the bike is going to fall apart piece by piece. For a product at this price point, I expected far better quality control. How can a premium brand like Schwinn overlook such fundamental issues? A loose screw scraping the wheel could have been dangerous if we hadn't caught it, and the persistent problems with the pedals make me question the durability of the entire bike. As a long-time supporter of Schwinn, this experience has left me disenchanted. I hope the company takes these concerns seriously and improves their quality assurance processes moving forward. This level of oversight is simply unacceptable for a product in this price range.
I've used a Schwinn stationary bike at my gym for years and hoped the one I purchased would be similar. Two major drawbacks: 1. The saddle that comes with the bike has flimsy padding and is uncomfortable. I'm 6/3 and the seat does not extend high enough for a proper fit. Trying to return the product. Call in help line has over a 60 minute wait.
I wanted to love this bike, but unfortunately it has this awful squeaking sound when resistance is added. The tension rod does not seem to push down on the brake pad evenly and will sometimes cause a thumping sensation along with the squeaking. I have reached out to customer service numerous times, called and waited for about an hour each time, and can get no response. If customer service responded or addressed the issue, I would give it more stars, but I don't even want to ride it because the noise is so annoying and I can't get ahold of anyone to fix it or return it.
