I have NEVER found a canned tomato like this. Outstanding flavor and consistency. The ratio of tomato vs. juice is already perfect right out of the can, so you don't have to cook it down to make sauce. I don't really want other brands now...Sclafani is the BEST! Make sure to get this one, with the painted can. The Sclafani with the paper label is NOT this good.
These tomatoes have a full flavor that isn't acidic. Just what I was hoping for. They make a great homemade marinara sauce - no sugar needed. Just add to some minced sauteed onions and minced garlic cloves, add a bit of fresh basil, salt and pepper, some water to thin it down as needed, and you'll have a rich marinara sauce. No sugar needed, not even a pinch because of the quality of the tomatoes. The only little downside--there are a few seeds, but not many--not enough to really notice that much.
The taste of these tomatoes is so much brighter and fresher than some of the store brands I can find in this area. So happy to find I can order them and my Brooks Chili beans here. Just the flavor of home.
I love this tomatoes they are sweet and nice and thick. Makes a delicious sauce.
Fresh tasting tomatoes with no added flavorings. I prefer to add my own spices. Great for sauces.
Makes awesome tasting sauces. I use it to make spaghetti and lasagna sauces. Perfect balance of taste to acidity. One of my new favorite crushed tomatoes brands. Brings a new level of taste and flavor to tomato based dishes. I'm glad Walmart now carries this product online.
The inside is good it was the outside I was upset about, 2 cans were dented and that was upsetting
