Scotts Halts Crabgrass and Grassy Weed Preventer, 5,000 sq. ft., 10.06 lb.

Did a fall application to get ahead of the weed problem in spring. Easy application and instructions. I will apply again in spring and hopefully it will cure my weed problems.

Scott's Halts is the best crabgrass control available. Have tried other brands in an attempt to economize. Have learned from error that the cheaper brands are what they are., cheap. They'll burn the lawn, unpredictable and questionable effectiveness. Scott's, when used in conjunction with the Scott's broadcast or drop spreader is a winning combination and envy of other lawns.

I was glad to see this product available on-line. Our local hardware stores and even the big box stores did not have this in stock when I needed to apply the weed preventer. I'm hoping this will make an impact on the crabgrass this year.

I've been using this product for years . I've been told that My lawn is the best on my street/ community . I stopped while sick for about 3 months of taking car my Last due to illness and tried lawn Doctor/ Truegreen and they burnt my grass up. Had to go back to doing it myself

It didn't control a lot of the grassy weeds. I am still pulling them out by hand. I also bought a liquid weed killer.

Not sure how effective Scott's Crabgrass is at preventing the growth of this weed. I applied it to my lawn as instructed. I am still getting Crabgrass growing in my lawn. I don't know if I would have more Crabgrass if I had not used this product.

Not very happy about the results! Maybe we needed more rain. I put this down one day before we had two days of rain, not sure if I needed more water before it works. But let me be clear, I only brought two bags. Maybe I needed more because I do have a large yard, so I don't want to really down play the results. I will buy it again in a larger quantity to see if the results are better the next time.

Product works great but shrinkflation is real. For what I paid I would have bought another brand.

I live in phoenix, so Spring comes earlier some years. Bermuda lawn, not overseeded. Non-hybrid Bermuda grows when soil hits 65 degrees. For this reason, When it was forecasted to be in the upper 80's, lows around 50, I applied this product. Then, it cooled down, so I applied it again 4 weeks later, same temperature range. Although the crabgrass was prevented to some degree, I find myself pulling random spots out daily. I do not remember the brand of pre-emergent I used last year, but wish I could as it was 100% effective. It was not a household name. I had two problem spots in my yard in previous years, and made sure to cover them this year before soil temperature reached 58 degrees with Scotts. There are better products, but supply chain issues limited my options. The product isn't perfect. Also, i don't think it did anything to prevent clovers or sedge, but I have no way of knowing if I would have had more trouble had I not applied this product.

I did not get what I order I received something totally different. I package slip and I don't know how to return the item. I received weedex!!!
