As usual, the product works. I have excellent results from Scotts products and enjoy the convenience of a subscription.
Excellent to rid lawns under trees from moss. Hard to find product n big box stores. So, glad Walmart had it available for Internet purchase and free delivery - with Walmart Plus.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had been trying to get help putting a granular product on my garden shed composition roof, when this came along. I'm sold! I didn't need any help to use it, it won't stain anything (like the granular stuff does), and it really worked. The moss went from green to brown in 48 hours.
Moss was slowly taking over my yard.In the high traffic areas it would turn to mud in early summer when we would have family cookouts.I followed the directions on the bag.It worked great it killed the moss and iwas able to get grass to grow,no more moss.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in an area where this product is basically useless because moss doesn't grow out here. However I saw on the bag where some other customers had put it and decided to try it in those areas. In spring we get a small amount of moss on the sides of rocks but not much to have to “ manage”. This worked excellent on those small areas and I imagine if you had moss in your grass this would work quite well to remove it.
This product will kill moss, however you need to apply often and continuously for about a year (depending on how sever the problem) and then add lime to "sweeten" (less acidic) your soil to make it unfavorable for moss to live. After the moss turns black get it out of your yard...use a thatching rake to pull it all up and then re-seed the grass in the bare spots that it left. This is what the bag doesn't tell you.
We applied this the first week of July (a little over a month ago). There is no visible change in the moss. We followed the directions on the package. From these reviews, I've learned that the air temperature is important. But, there is nothing about air temperature in the instructions. :-( Guess we wasted our time and money. Haven't decided if we'll try when it gets cooler or not.
I bought MossEx granules because of the high recommendation and positive reviews. I applied the product as instructed, let it sit for two days and then hosed off the dead moss. Unfortunately, the pavers AND the concrete slab next to the sunroom changed colors. We are now in the process of paying to have the patio replaced. No reference on the website for Scott's stated not to use on concrete or pavers. Afterwards, my wife found in small print on the bag that it could stain. This should have been in large letters and on the website!!! I have used Scott's products for years and years but now I will have to rethink my product choices. I have included pictures, including the receipt.
I applied Moss Ex to my yard on March 6th hoping to kill the large amount of moss that grew over the winter. I have been watching closely to find results, however, as of this post, my moss problem is still green. I applied per instructions using my Scott's spreader in the prescribed setting. I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with this product.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the moss ex was quite easy to apply. seems to have given the lawn the ability to breathe. worked wonderfully in the hand spreader to apply within fifteen minutes. the moss ex is a groovy comlpiment with scotts fertilizers.
