The Scotts WinterGuard Weed %26 Feed works very well against broad leaf weeds. Simple %26 safe to apply, and weeds started to show signs of decay within 3 days. Look forward to the root level nutrients it'll provide to my tall fescue grass over the winter.
I used this without difficulty in a manual spreader on setting 3 out of 5. It is too early to tell how effective the product will be. Scotts is a reputable company, so I am fairly confident that the product will work as advertised. I am writing this review so that I can get a Walmart credit for it.
We were on your Scott's plan for a many number of years. Loved it sorry to see it has gone to the way side. As you know we got the bundle. I only have one request. The fertilizer is heavy and the box that contained it was not very strong so it barely made it in one piece. The spreader came perfectly.
This was a fantastic sale from Scott's for the Bundle which included Turf Builder, Small for Northern area and a free spreader. I was looking at purchasing a new spreader, so this was a great buy. I have used Scott's Turf Builder for a few years and love how it has improved my yard. Before that I used Scott's 4-Step program with great results, but the Turf Builder just made my grass look fuller and much more green. Also keeps the weeds away.
Very nice bundle, especially with the mini spreader thrown in. I've used it once for overseeding and it worked very well. Have not used any of the fertilizer yet but I have been using Scott's products for years and expect I will have good results as I have had in the past.
Promo with small walking spreader and 4 bags of fertilizers to try their crabgrass early season product. Have used the remaining others with good outcomes if directions followed. I like their Scott's winter fertilizer. Contents have become smaller in bags even though it says it covers the same amount ?
The first bag that I opened consisted of solid balls whch I had to try and hammer out. The smaller solids kept getting stuck in the spreader. This was the first time I ordered seed through the mail and just didnt seem as if it had the same consistency as if I had purchased from the store. I will continue to purchase seed from the store in the future.
This is the Worst Scotts product I have ever used. After a month from application, I see no improvement in killing weeds or greening of the lawn. This is the first time in decades that I am disappointed in the results from using a Scotts product. I have watered the lawn twice a week for over a month since applying the Turf Builder with no improvement. I have been using Scotts seasonal W%26F products for years.
If it was in the description, I missed it. I have always purchached the smaller bags of Scott's fertilizer and it was the perfect size for our yard. These bags were smaller yet and would not give full coverage. So I gave it away to my sister and will have to buy the next size up. So it was a complete waste of money for me. My sister, on the other hand, is very happy and I'm sure she would give you five stars.
Scotts lawn products are superior but the spreaders are absolutely junk, I've purchased around 5 of the spreaders in the past few years and none lasted more that two seasons. The new Mini Spreader failed after one application, did not spread evenly and then jammed. The black colored spreaders sold in the past were much better. I think most customers would be willing to spend more money for a better quality spreader
