The Scotts WinterGuard Weed %26 Feed works very well against broad leaf weeds. Simple %26 safe to apply, and weeds started to show signs of decay within 3 days. Look forward to the root level nutrients it'll provide to my tall fescue grass over the winter.
Very nice bundle, especially with the mini spreader thrown in. I've used it once for overseeding and it worked very well. Have not used any of the fertilizer yet but I have been using Scott's products for years and expect I will have good results as I have had in the past.
Excellent product at an excellent price. My only thoughts on this is the packaging of the fertilizer is unclear about the settings on the spreader provided. However I did work it out to set the spreader at 3.5 and it worked out fine. My yard is always the showplace on the street.
I am not a fanatic when it comes to laws, but the one thing I do every year is fertilze four times a year, early spring, late spring, summer and fall, and my lawn looks very good to me. Compared to some of my neighbors who don't fertilze, my lawn looks great. The drop spreader included with the fertilizer was nicer than the one I had.
The Scotts 4 step program truly works in creating and maintaining an attractive and healthy lawn. Been following the program for years. To be able to purchase the group together with a top-notch spreader is a great offer. Besides myself, my son also purchased it and is very pleased.
I wish it would have been plainly marked on the bag which season it was intended for. Had to find it deep in the instructions and still not sure I applied the right one . Also not sure I bought the right collection as you described it as for northern lawns but did not clarify what states that included
I used Scott's years ago until I got away from granular application. I chose to try it again when I saw the bundle with free rotary spreader as this should be up to date and more consistent in application. Unfortunately, the amount (4K) and application technique (rotary), even after turning the dial to a lesser number (3 down to 2) came up short. Nothing worse than running out of product before you finish the application. Especially when you know the area and don't understand how this would occur.
I've been a fan of using Scott's products exclusively for ages. I'm one of the few neighbors remaining who still maintain their lawns. Many have opted for commercial providers who offer comfort and convenience along with competitive pricing compared to your product's cost. This may be my last summer of maintaining my lawn as your pricing and my aging abilities will be taking me from your market.
This is the Worst Scotts product I have ever used. After a month from application, I see no improvement in killing weeds or greening of the lawn. This is the first time in decades that I am disappointed in the results from using a Scotts product. I have watered the lawn twice a week for over a month since applying the Turf Builder with no improvement. I have been using Scotts seasonal W%26F products for years.
If it was in the description, I missed it. I have always purchached the smaller bags of Scott's fertilizer and it was the perfect size for our yard. These bags were smaller yet and would not give full coverage. So I gave it away to my sister and will have to buy the next size up. So it was a complete waste of money for me. My sister, on the other hand, is very happy and I'm sure she would give you five stars.
