I have bought these before. I like the way they fit. I have very fine, medium long hair that likes to live in my face. I have to have something to hold it back. These headbands aren't too tight and make my hair look thicker. I would recommend this product to anyone that has unruly hair.
So tight near the ears that it is uncomfortable to wear. I tried to heat it in boiling water to soften it so I could bend it open more, that didn't help at all.
i really really really love these headbands but unfortunately they just aren't made to last. i first bought these around july and the first one broke maybe a month and a half after, and the other one broke after 2 months. i just bought another set in october and now in the first week of november the black one broke. i havent worn the tortoise shell one yet, so that one is fine still. i cannot keep buying these, it's really only worth it if you know you're only gonna wear them a few times. they are also kinda tight on your head, so keep that in mind if you wear glasses (it definitely hurts after awhile)
I use headbands like this to keep my hair out of my face while I do my makeup. When I purchased these online, I assumed I was buying the same version of a headband. I had already used before and had misplaced, but when it came in the mail, I realized it was slightly different. These were hard, rigid plastic and they still get the job done, but they're a lot less comfortable to wear than the headband I originally had -which is a softer and more pliable also wrapped in satin making it smoother on the hair and easier on the scalp. These work, but they aren't the best. The rigid plastic also means that if it doesn't fit your head shape exactly, those baby hairs at the hairline escape which sort of defeats the purpose the way I use them.
Honestly, I did not like these at all. Firstly, I don't know what kind of plastic they're made out of, but it was icky to the touch. Secondly, I don't like how hard it pulled at my hair when sliding it back and up. Thirdly, I don't like how they looked in my hair. Overall these headbands were not worth the money spent on them and are a sensory nightmare. They don't work as well as the headbands of the same exact design and purpose in the early to mid 00's and 90's had. The effect when I put it in my hair and push it back towards my face just looks ugly to me and It's not supposed to look like that. If you are considering these, please take my advice and get one of a better quality, maybe a metal one instead, which would honestly be better for longevity because these headbands were just awful. Unfortunately, I was unable to return them so I gave them to somebody who would use them.
I suspect these only work well on a very thick bushy head of hair. If you have an average or thin head of hair don't buy them. The prongs don't even grasp or go into my hair. Essentially it just sits on top of my head, which is why a bushy head of hair is needed for the prongs to go into. The part that is behind the ear is painful. I got a headache. Even more painful if wearing while eating. I searched a lot for headbands that looked like they would not fit the watly these do. But I was wrong. I really wish headbands were not only meant for a lot of thick hair. Even thinner hair needs to be held back from the face. Probably even more so since it is slick and smooth.
I have a large head 7%267/8,needless to say they are too small. That's why l only bought 2. Not everything is one size fits all. live and learn. I'm used to it.
when these arrived I almost immediately did a return because they appeared so small, like for a child's head. I reluctantly tried them on and to my surprise they fit. I wear these when I walk my dog to keep my hair out of my eyes; I do not wear them all day everyday. And I randomly wear one or the other, but if I had to say, the black one probably got used more often. In just over a month the brown one broke in two. Do not waste your money on these.
the teeth on this headband are way too far apart. i thought it would give me volume kind of like a bump it. not only were the teeth too far apart, there were too few of them, and they were almost faced in an upward direction , meaning they didn't grab any of my hair lol.
one headband broke the first time I tried to use it and the second one is deformed so it doesn't sit on the head right. The one that isnt broken also makes my head hurt after awhile
