LOVE these !!! I went back and bought a second pack. I won't be using claw clips or hair ties anymore. Unless it's for bed or to wear braids, I'll use scrunchies. I'd buy everyone one of these if I could. But just know it takes ALOT of practice and patience to master putting it in. But once you do it's amazing ! I like how it opens from either side and I can lean back on my head or lay down without hurting my head. Super light weight, doesn't feel like much. Highly recommend.
I loved these clips as a teenager, but I haven't seen any in years. Was thrilled to find these. I haven't seen any long thick and heavy hair, despite keeping it layered. If I wear a regular ponytail for 3-4 hours I usually get a headache, but not with the banana clips. I love the way it looks when I've curled my hair and pull it up with these clips. Just a cascade of curls. I can wear these for days on end without getting a headache. Think i Spreads the weight out and eliminates the pulling for me. The curved design makes it comfortable again my scalp.
This was bought as a gift for someone who has long and thick hair. I was concerned that it wouldn't be able to handle the thickness , but it is working beautifully.
Would recommend to try but not sold myself Is why I only gave 4 stars .The design bc of the ends are awkward makes it harder to put in hair than the old banana clips. I dont like the clasps they seem too rigid and seems as if it will break off. I see if i can edit once I try it again .
You're probably not going to like these very much if your hair and your hands are a mess like mine. They do make your ponytail look longer and quite lovely, but they're not designed the same as the old school ones and, while I can eventually get them to work for me, it's a very annoying process because they're extremely difficult to properly close once you have them in your hair. I do imagine they'd work better in thinner hair but I'm not really thrilled with my purchase and I probably wouldn't buy them again.
personally not my favorite design. if you have huge fluffy curly hair i think you would like it. but even so the lock is not great. it could pop out at any time. the way they used to lock with tension is much more effective. now its kind of a mess and hard to both open and close so its a no for me but you might like it
The ends catch my hair frequently but it just takes a moment to detangle; for my long curly hair both hands are needed to clip into place which is sometimes inconvenient but the colors are good and they aren't weak. The teeth haven't broken, yet. I would recommend a different material if optional like bamboo or wood. I am happier to use this option to maintain my hair in a higher ponytail for longer periods of time without tension causing headaches like hair ties or traditional claw clips. It also gives my ponytail a better shape.
It's not your fault, I had to have left shoulder replacement and I also have issues with my right shoulder so I am not able to get these in my hair due to not able to raise my arms that far up.
They did not work the way I had hoped they would in my hair. I used to use the long, curved banana clips when I was younger and I had always wished they would bring them back, and they did, which is what I had originally ordered for delivery, but they weren't available that day, so this was the substitution I received and they didn't work in my hair. I'm sorry, I'm sure they would be fine in thinner hair.
The clip broke as I was unhooking one end. I put it back together. I have fine hair but it's not big enough to comb back the hair and put it in the clip like the banana clips from the 80's. Those were great, bigger, strong. This is not that. I could get it to clip around my hair, if I wanted it to hang down rather than have that tight, pulled back look. I've tried several banana clips recently and they are all like this. I don't understand why they can't make them bigger and stronger.
