Scunci Large Octo-Jaw Claw Clip, Tortoiseshell, 1 Count

No other claw clip fits my hair except for this one! I have been buying and using this particular clip in my extremely thick hair for literal decades now! And no other clip comes close w my thicc hair.

This works great to quickly contain long thick hair. I had one for years until it finally cracked due to old age. It was hard to find really big ones like this in stores to replace it so I was happy to run across it here.

I love that you can form a bun with long hair, and then clip this XL jaw hair clip over the entire bun, keeping it in place all day! I highly recommend this clip if you have long or thick hair!

I have long thick straight hair that tends to overwhelm or slide right out of hair clips. Not this one though! Whether I just twist my hair up or do a bun, this clip stays where I put it and looks cute while doing so! Not as brittle as other clips I have tried and are my longest lasting

I really wish I could give this item the full 5 star review. It really is quite versatile, the rubber straps on the inside really keep your hair in place, and my personal favorite feature- It's low profile. When you have long hair, using most hair accessories are difficult to use for little more than decoration. Along with items like this. The critical difference being just how much of your head will be covered by a clip. I dare say I'm far from alone in realizing that you cannot rest your head upon anything. Instantly you're regretting your hair choice. However this clip is so low profile and compact that is it's never going to be an issue. I can and often do tie my very long hair into a tight bun and easily go about my day. Or if I need to do a slight change in style it's easy to take out a set your hair to your current needs. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the many times I've had to replace broken this item. From my experience it has 6-9 month shelf life. At which point it will break. That being said, I always recommend it to my friends. Along with leaving reviews like this. I take reviews seriously, as I know the words of a stranger can be very useful and powerful. Other people's reviews have definitely swayed me one way or another. So go in knowing that it likely to ‘rage quit' on you. One time I didn't even notice until returning home. It was only when I went to remove this exact style clip. Only to discover it had broken at some point, but those rubber strips work so well, it held it all together. Even knowing that at some point it's likely going to give up on you, I still highly recommend this product have and will continue to do so. Making sure to include the caveat- this will likely break on you. Pro Tip; If after a month you too are enjoying this clip- you probably get a second one. You will need it at some point but you'll gotten so much use out of it, you're left a bit impressed, at least I am, at how long it held on.

This was just what I wanted...until I got it in my hair and realized it wasn't designed properly. When the clip is open and secured in your hair all the claws are pointed out and stab right into your scalp. It's not designed for the claws to lay flat once it's in your hair.

While still tied to product card packaging, never used, dropped 2 ft fall onto padded carpet and it broke apart...one little half of a bracket that holds the spring. The plastic tie that held it to the cardboard is intact--maybe the bracket that broke should be made from that plastic instead. Extremely disappointed. Poor quality.

I've purchased this clip previously and thought it was so great especially with the rubber grips Inside of the clip, bought this one and all it can do is slide out of my thick curly hair,!

This clip was awesome when I first put it in. Held all my long thick hair securely and comfortably. Unfortunately the pin came out of spring mechanism a day later and I can't find the package to return it. Comfortable but no durability. Would not recommend.
