I ordered one thing and got another
I read all the details about the sea dog bushings and I even googled an inquiry about polypropylene vs nylon and found out polypropylene is a better material. So I ordered the seadogs specifically because they were polypropylene but when they arrived it said nylon bushings right on the box. They will work but it is NOT what I ordered. Unacceptable

They work
These are simple bushings, exactly as described. What I liked was being able to pick them up at my local Wal Mart, saved me shipping, which in this case was 3x the price of the item--so a big deal.

The oarlock sockets match the description well and work like a charm. I would recommend these sockets as a low cost solution.

The correct solution
The bushings are easily installed and provide the correct solution for a rowboat that is missing the bushings. My recommendation is to use a c-clamp to press them into place in order to avoid possible damage to the boat by hammering them in. They are a tight fit into the oar locks that are a permanent part of the boat so it seems unlikely that they might fall out on their own.
