Seagate ExpansionPLUS 4TB External Hard Drive - USB 3.0 with Rescue Data Recovery (STKR4000400)

I was looking for a external hard drive for pictures and videos I had stored on my phone as well as to store documents from my computer. It is easy to use. It arrived undamaged and when it was supposed to. It is compact and doesn't take up much room.

all other drives I purchased in the last roughly 10 years lasted about a year these were prinarily SAMSUNG (The onlySamsung producis I've ever had issues with) and Western Digital. All the Seagate drives I've purchased the last 5 to 7 years lasted at least 3 years excluding the ones I dropped only 1 failed in less than 2 years it had free data recovery and was replaced for free. Always check the length of the warranty and if data recovery is included. please do that with hard drives from any manufacturer. BTW this is the smallest drive I've purchased in several years I needed it to back up a computer I was sending in for repair and Walmart was out of the 8 TB model.

The Expansion USB Hard Drive interfaced effortlessly with my 13-year-old Windows 10 i5Core desktop. I simply installed a new directory in the Seagate drive and moved files (and sub-directories) into that location. Drag %26 Drop as well as Copy/Paste worked fine. The loading speed seems fine. I moved approximately 560 GB into the drive without problems.

I spend thousands of dollars every month with Amazon, and Walmart performed exactly, if not better than Amazon. I will use them again

This drive works fine right out of the box. I was disappointed with it in that it lacks the heft and build quality of a similar drive I bought just a few years ago.

They're changing to much not for the better. You can't error check the drive and you can't defrag it for any issues or problems.

I have many Seagate drives a lot of them, the portable USB only. this one here requires a plug-in to power supply. there's only so many plugs in my house. I needed one that just plugged into a computer and ran off the computer's power so I haven't actually installed it or used this. I'm sure it's a good drive. Seagate makes good drives but if you have limited plugs this is not for you. I'm having to return it.

The drive does not show up on my file manager. I've checked both the power and the USB connections. I've opened the device manager and this drive does not appear under disk drives. I've followed all of the advice I've found and nothing has worked. I am going to try to return this item b/c I shouldn't have to be searching for advice on how to make this drive work; it should be plug and play. I have a windows probook.

Can I give this 0 stars? Something is totally wrong either from Walmart or the Seller. 1. Device didn't work out of the box. 2. Device didn't come with power cable. 3. Device carried a serial number totally different from that on the box. 4. Box looked like it had been used or opened before, too many dinks, scratches and cellotape around it. 5. Walmart has left me with a defective product I need to dispose off. Someone within the system is responsible for this scam. I will not be buying anything from Walmart online anymore. One and done!

I returned this item. It appeared to be used. There was metal falling from the internal components.
