Seagate ExpansionPLUS 4TB External Hard Drive - USB 3.0 with Rescue Data Recovery (STKR4000400)

I was looking for a external hard drive for pictures and videos I had stored on my phone as well as to store documents from my computer. It is easy to use. It arrived undamaged and when it was supposed to. It is compact and doesn't take up much room.

The Expansion USB Hard Drive interfaced effortlessly with my 13-year-old Windows 10 i5Core desktop. I simply installed a new directory in the Seagate drive and moved files (and sub-directories) into that location. Drag %26 Drop as well as Copy/Paste worked fine. The loading speed seems fine. I moved approximately 560 GB into the drive without problems.

works perfectly i used for the ps5 smooth only thing it jumps down from 6tb to 5.5tb but still amazing regardless

No startup media included. It did not recognize the full stated capacity of the drive, only 234 GB spread across 3 volumes instead of the adversited 8 TB, I searched the Seagate site for start up instructions and media, but found nothing current. I then, after registering the product called Seagate support, (since nothing arrived after registration) I spent the next 3 hours with the Seagate support staff, providing data and images via email describing what my computer showing in hopes of getting a solution.....then after a delay, she comes back and says the warranty on the device expired Sep24 ! I just bought it 2 days ago and picked it up yesterday ! On the box it says 1, 2, and 3 year warranty ! So she would not be able to constinue the support call, but mentioned the problem may be the device BIOS not getting recognized by Win11....(I had already done an OS update and verified all of the drivers were up-to-date) (I had purposely chosen the USB3.0 supported device, because USB 2 is still supported by USB3 and USB3 .1 is supporteb by USB 3.2, and my system has USB3.1 ports...so the widest compatibility. Just a week ago I had a similar issue with a different storage product I tried to get from Walmart, Order%23 2000144-79879597 ....I returned that after some discussion with the Walmart rep, showing that an attempt to reach the vendor like on the Walmart side failed....and they returned saying, "ohh, looks like that vendor as been black listed", \(but Walmart still has it on their site for sale to day :(

I bought this online and it was delivered from my local store. It had been opened before and retaped. Everything inside was not packed from the factory. Anyway, it did not work. It wasn't seen by the computer. Returned it for replacement. When I got the replacement drive it was sealed and looked new. However the drive only showed up as having 74.4 gigs and only 33.6 gigs free. there were files on it. Had a very hard time returning it in store. Walmart if you read this you need to audit the hard drives that you sell. Something's funny is going on.

I bought this item to move resources to but when I plugged it into my computer, it said there was an error and told me the steps to fix it. Before and after “fixing” it, I looked to make sure everything was fine. Instead of 6TB, I was getting less than 250GB. On top of that, there was a lot of stuff on there that was taking up space already and even weirder, some of the stuff was dating back to 2009, which, I didn't even have access to. I'm not sure if it's all of them or just this one. Please, whenever you buy an item, make sure it works so you can return it or whatever ASAP!!!

Purchased to back up an old external drive to recover photos for a funeral. Out of the box it showed only 500.11 GB of space. After much frustration and research- it's a dupe and a known issue in which drives were counterfeited and apparently still trickling in. . Save yourself time- order directly from Seagate.

I want a full refund unhappy

Bought this hard drive expecting a new external drive. Nothing on the listing indicates this is a refurbished drive. Drive is already partitioned and has files from a previous user still on it. Clearly not a new drive. Will be returning and will not be buying from Walmart again.

Walmart won’t let me return this product despite being given a device that was tampered with. The drive I received looked new, the packaging was sealed, but when I plugged it in it was clear to me it was pre-owned and not new. It already had someone else’s files on it, and it wasn’t actually a 6 TB Seagate drive inside the Seagate branded case. Instead it was a heavily used 3 TB Hitachi drive. One in very poor health. So not only did I receive half the storage space I paid for, I also received a used and tampered with product when I was under the impression I was buying new. This is incredibly irresponsible on Walmart’s part. They need to do better about checking customer returns for high value items like this. They won’t even let me return it or exchange it. I’m angry.
