THIS is a solution!
Smells lovely....MUCH lighter and less space hogging than a big jug of detergent. Seems to work just fine, even on heavily soiled items. Not going back to powders and liquids.

I once got these for under $10- next I got them for under $13. A little cheaper than Earth Breeze. I use both.

Best Safe option
Safest option when you have kids. Even the latest machine will leave residue in some csses. so its good to use this safest pods.

I love the Seventh Generation brand for its eco-friendly and environmentally-responsible outlook. Typically I get unscented laundry essentials, but this was a good price, and the fragrance is not too strong. These seem to clean well.
