Love this Shakespeare fishing rod, my first one had a hair line break and not sure how it happened and it snapped in two catching a fish but I used it very often beforehand. lasted me a few years and was pleasantly surprised that Walmart had it available at my local store. I'd rather fish than surf. I'm an angler conis u're.
Very nice light action rods at a great price. The packaging for shipment was not what i was expecting for a 7 foot two piece rod the box measured 36" long by 21" wide and 18" tall and the end or the rods were sticking out the corner of the box. There was no packing material or bubble wrap just the plastic sleeve that was on each rod . I don't know how they made it through shipping without the rods being broken
Great little rod for panfish, catfish under 5lbs, carp, bass under 5lbs! I live in Florida and have plenty of fish off my dock to catch. My whole family love catching them with this rod! the fight is great and the rod has handled fish as big as 4.5lbs using a spinning reel with a working drag. This is a great little ultralight fishing rod, quality construction and very nice cork grips, especially at this price! I will buy these again and recommend them to friends and family!
At First there was a problem with stocking issues from the place I originally ordered it from, delaying the order, but then when it arrived they gave me a 2nd one in compensation for the problem. 200% satisfied because I have been looking for this specific rod everywhere.
Love that it's 2 pieces and I can put it in the back of my car easy. Have caught 3 lb bass on it and no problem.
nice for the price. great for longer casts from the shore with light line. still has good feel while handling some big trout.
If you want an inexspensive rod you aren't woried about losing or breaking, it will be tough to beat this. got it specially for crappie and it works fine
The Rings kinda broke after my first run, just the metal inserts though. Pretty good especially for the price. Id recommend it for sure, especially if paired with a shimono reel.
Shakespeare micro series are decent poles, but this 2 piece pole isn't as sensitive as the one piece. But it's still a good pole for the price.
can't review the product as the upper section of the rod was missing>ng upon delivery. spent 4 hrs on the phone attempting to resolve the problem (distribution center refused to contact the store directly to locate the missing piece) The customer service desk left me on hold for 20 mins before disconnecting. My second call resulted in the same hold time and disconnect. My third call was answered by Marco, who understood the dilemma but unable to help. He transferred me to pick up/delivery within the store and once again I was disconnected moments after an employee answered. My 4th call was answered by a "front end employee", Shane, who was incredibly rude, argumentative, impatient and accusatory; stated the item must have been stolen rather than missing. I eventually was told to return the fishing rod for a refund BUT I anticipate a problem at the store due to half the rod being missing.
