The vacuum power is fantastic. I still had a Eureka Smartvac that was 25yrs old that I repaired many times but it still worked well but I wanted something more modern and bagless. I ran the old Eureka over my carpet,then the Shark. The Shark picked up and filled over half of it's collection cannister over the same area of carpet. I was definitely convinced I made a good choice.

I purchased this on a cyber Monday deal after looking at it for close to a year. Price was amazing at $148. It arrived 2 days later. I unboxed it and had it put together in 5 minutes. Then it was time for the test. I took it upstairs which has the only carpet in the house and oh my word, this thing was amazingly unbelievable with how well it picked up. Keep in mind I had just vacuumed up there 5 days ago and filled the canister with all the pet hair and kid yuck you could imagine. Gave me a case of the icks, so naturally I vacuumed 2 more times up there. Safe to say my old vacuum needed replaced and I'm so glad I got this one. It's super lightweight and I loved that i was able to detach the canister and vacuum the stairs. Dumping the canister was super easy as well, just hold over the trash and push the button to open the door and out it goes. If you're on the fence about this vacuum, do yourself a favor and get it!

We really needed a vacuum and this machine had a big Black Friday promotion available so obviously I copped. First impression was outstanding. Very impressed with this product right out of the box. The setup is super easy, the vacuum works nicely on different surfaces and emptying the bin is simple / smooth. I highly recommend this vacuum!

after our oreck stopped working, we decided to try a shark. this vacuum has worked so well, I already want another for upstairs. Not too heavy, easy to dump out the contents, maneuvers well on carpet and also shifting between the carpet and tile works well too with the auto adjust option selected.

So I had this vacuum for a few months we replaced another vacuum. This is the vacuum. I wish I started off with. It is so much better than any other vacuum I ever had it gets all the hair. I have a dog, I have long hair and a few people in the house have very curly hair and this just sucks right up. It is so good. I like how I can see all the dust and hair in the vacuum and it's very easy to clean.

I bought a different model last year and although I loved it in every aspect it was very difficult for me to make it swivel using just my foot. This one, however, has a lot more features, and you barely tap it to get it to swivel which, for someone with arthritis in their ankles is essential. It is lightweight for the most part and swivels easily and it detaches to do other jobs so this one is definitely worth five stars.

I really like Shark Vacuums. However,this particular model has a power cord that is very very rigid and inflexible. Very difficult to wind up and my only disappointment with this model. Why is the cord so stiff?

I like how easy this is to roll and it moves well, but it does not pick up dog hair as well as my stand up dirt devil does. I got this on sale for a great price and I like it, but I still have to use the old red tall stand up dirt devil (it is maybe 8 years old), and it still picks up dog hair better than this. However, this is much easier to roll and use as the dirt devil I have, is harder to push around. Not a huge difference, but enough that I like to use this for most areas and then any with dog hair, I use the old dirt devil.

Great suction! Only bad part is brush roll and cover aren't removable. With three kids, something is always on the floor. Within two mins of having it, a squishy ball got sucked up and took two hours to remove since you can't remove brush roll or cover. If you could, this product would be 5 stars

This vacuum is being sold under model number LA492 but arriving as LA490 with LA492 stickers pasted over all instances of LA490. This is deception from either Walmart, their marketplace shippers, or Shark. No one seems to want to take accountability for this, but it is a real issue. I ordered from another supplier, and there were no issues, making me think it was an issue with Walmart and/or their shippers. Another reminder that these large companies are becoming more unreliable by the day, and you might as well take your chances with Ebay, Mercari, Poshmark, etc.
