Sharpal Double-Sided Leather Strop Kit with Polishing Compound & Angle Guide for Sharpening Knives & Chisels

With the appropriate diamond paste (I used 6micron paste) this strop produced an excellent finished edge on all of my kitchen knives. It's well made and the right size for the job, and the price was excellent. Recommended.

I've seen a lot of similar items being sold, they look the same, but this one by Sharpal is by far the best quality. It easily brings a dull knife back to life and puts a razor sharp edge on it. I highly recommend it. Even when I use a wetstone I use this for finishing the edge and it always turns out great.

I'm happy with this leather strop, it's a nice price, has a rough side and a smooth side. it also ships with a green abrasive, which is not a bad product but for nicer knife sharpening I decided to use this strop with a separately purchased diamond abrasive instead, to finish burr removal while sharpening kitchen knives

Works well for touching-up my carving knives.

Could use better instructions, especially with the polishing compound and how to use it. The angle finder doesn't work on smaller knives because it has a flat edge the last 1/8" or so. Otherwise good. Was able to (with a bit of tweaking and figuring things out) able to hone a leatherman knife.

This item feels solid in hand, mine weighted 238g. The dimensions are close enough to the specs. The leather is about 2mm thick, appears it is 5/6 ounce veg tan leather, not cowhide leather as advertised. Picture is compare to an 8/9 ounce veg tan leather. I don't use the green polish compound nor the angel guide. I wish it comes with the diamond lapping compound instead for a little more.

At first search, found this product I had researched on other sites. Was happy to have convenience of buying thru Walmart, one stop shop, tired of Amazon two factor headaches and all the xtra time needed to jump thru hoops with every purchase. Same product, happy with price, shipping, convenience. For the money, This is the best strop package for ME. I trust the Sharpal brand I like the included angle tool and polishing compound, the only thing that would have been better is offerring more compound, so I wouldn't have to order more for a long, long time.

Super thin leather, doesn't even feel like real leather. I will be returning immediately. don't purchase this item, complete rip off.
