SheaMoisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen & Restore Shampoo, 16.3 Oz

This is a great clarifying shampoo, depending on your hair type and how often you use topical hair products. I have curly/coily hair and use once a month to clarify and it takes away left over products from scalp and hair without drying it. Clarifying is great to keep your pores open if you are applying products to your hair and/or scalp often. But do not use as your regular go to shampoo it would be too drying. Some with oily hair may be able to use it more often. On my hair it makes my scalp and hair feels so clean and it strips build up of products and my natural shine returns. Very good for females and males as well.

Been having problems with my hair and scalp. Dry, brittle, frizzy hair and my scalp was itchy with no dandruff. Gave up on shampoo and tried the castille soap method and vinegar. It worked ok, but not great. The vinegar took away the itch, but my hair was still dry and no shine. Thought I'd give this a try. It worked great. My scalp feels good. My hair is soft and shiny with no frizzies.My pretty natural curls are back. We'll see what it's like by the end of the day. Will update after I've tried it for a while.

This is a great product I also use other products made from this company. I've had good results my hair has thickened and slowly my edges are growing back. I had thinning edges caused by braiding and I used this shampoo along with the moisturizer and Castor Oil hair oil. I usually don't do reviews but I wanted to let others know that this line of hair care products really works. In hopes that Walmart keeps this line of products in it's store. Thanks

My family always had a bottle of regular Castor Oil on hand to use for different aliments; aches, colds, dry skin, dry scalp etc. This is my 1st time ever using "Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil", this product got excellent ratings so I decided to give it a try and YES, I discovered it is SO different from the clear/white Castor Oil I grew up using. This JBCO is thick, smooth and NO STRONG ODOR. I have fallen in love with " Shea Moisture Products", the reviews don't lie, these are great products. My next purchase will be "Shea Moisture African Black Soap" (pure, with no chemicals).

I just was looking for something to make my hair get thicker and more dense. I've only had it for about two weeks. I think it makes my hair look healthy and it does look better as far as density is concerned. I've noticed better growth as well.

This shampoo lathers wonderfully and cleans the hair and scalp very well. I have 4c hair and had no problems following this shampoo.

This shampoo leaves my hair smooth and silky. It’s very much a conditioner shampoo. Any and all tangles will be easily combed out after using this product. I highly recommend!
