SheaMoisture Raw Shea Butter Deep Moisturizing Hair Masque Raw Shea Butter, 11.5 oz

I have a mix of 3c,4a,b,c type hair. This really does a great job as a deep conditioner. Really softens the hair!!! I also use it as a leave in during moisturizing/styling after cleansing. I love that the ingredients listed do not include any of the "questionable" items like parabens, alcohols, silicones, etc!!! Thumbs up!!!

Works really well but causes itching and allergies

I was on the lookout for a deep conditioner/mask type of product because basic conditioner doesn't seem to cut it for me anymore, especially considering I believe I was dealing with protein overload after using a leave in conditioner with wayyyyy too many proteins for my hair. I went for this because SM is pretty trusted, cruelty free and I've liked their products in the past. It's about the only product I found without proteins. I worried about this product being a waste of money but it gets the job done and I don't regret purchasing. I feel like it doesn't take much product to coat my hair and absorbs fairly well. I'm happy with this.

It's very hard to find protein-free hair masks that are also budget-friendly, so I had high hopes for this one when I found it online. But I'm disappointed. First, I DO love the scent. It's got a very pleasant but not-overpowering smell that reminds me of bamboo. And it IS a good value. But it just did NOT work that well for my fine, low porosity hair. It didn't seem to penetrate my hair shaft or actually moisturize it much at all. My hair wasn't hopelessly frizzy (like it gets with protein-containing masks), but I still had tangles and it still seemed dry instead of smooth and lustrous. And that was after leaving it on my hair for almost an hour! I'm going to finish the bottle because I HATE wasting products, but I'm also going to have to use my regular conditioner after rinsing it out, too, which imo defeats the purpose of a "deep moisturizing" mask. I won't be ordering it again.

It smells just like raw she abutter, not like the other products of the "Raw shea butter line" I dont know if mine was ruined or expired. But the worst part is that it doesn't detangle my straight long hair (if you are curly... good luck with it!!), it doesn't even feel like a conditioner, it is like putting literally Raw shea butter on your hair.

My hair always looked amazing but I guess with the years, pollution, coloring and what no it need a boost. I read reviews carefully when it come to my beauty supply and they all look very good So I bought this product. And, I was very excited about the hair repair my hair will experience thanks to this masque. Dreams a said- it left my hair more damage then before in reality. The hair felt very heavy and fuzzy and long story short it did not worked well for me. I try it again just for the benefit of the doubt but I must say that I will pass.
