Got these for my son who is a teenager that plays high school ball. He had taken some hard slides and although he hadn't broken skin he was struggling with the soreness of it. I racked my brain trying to think if a solution to this problem of sore or scraped thighs or hips. Then I found these padded boxer style shorts. They work. They are hidden. They are affordable and they are effective at helping reduce injury or discomfort from aggressive slides. It's a no brainer.

Fit is perfect for my 13 year old son. No loose stitching, materials are quality. Padding is light, enough for sliding and light contact and not super noticeable under his baseball pants. They just give him a little extra confidence when sliding into a base.

True to size. The padding on the sides is nice and feels like it will last the game year. The stitching looks good with no pulls. They are thin enough everywhere else to keep you cool while playing. Feels very comfortable and so far had no problems with them riding up.

Good sliding shorts for baseball. Protects the hip/outer leg from getting "strawberries" when sliding into base. My son doesn't like how long they are, but they need to be long to protect the leg. He's pretty sensitive and also hates wearing a cup when playing. He wasn't wearing the sliding shorts last game, and now has a strawberry on his left leg...

My son generally wears a size 10 in pants. The size L in the sliding shorts seem to fit him appropriately, while giving him some room to grow for next year. The shorts fit like boxer briefs on the legs and waist. There is a pocket sewn into the front where a sports cup can be placed (and stay put). The padding on the legs is quilted, but not bulky. It's wide enough on the thigh to allow for protection from some sliding error. Overall, the Shock Doctor sliding shorts have given my kiddo the confidence to continue to learn how to slide to safety.

Perfect fit and feel without any issues. Size is true. Very soft material that will pull in any direction for comfort and easy movement. They clean up easy in the regular wash and dry load. My son says these are the best pair he has tried. Highly recommend these for youth or adults. Well made.

The Shock Doctor Padded Sling short worked good. My son had it on last week for his game. He said that it is very comfortable. Soft to the skin. Feels breathable and he mentioned that he feels that his hips and sides are protected. The product is easy to clean. Material look strong and duarable. A must have for parents with active kids in sports.

These fit a bit weird at first because my kid wasn't used to them. They fit in size was good and protected well. Wished that the padding was a bit more cushioned but overall it's good. They do have the fabric inside for holding a protective cup as well.

My nephew used these for soccer. Unstretched, the waist measures 12" laying flat. From the top elastic to the bottom of the leg it's about 16". The waist band is 1 1/2 " tall. One great thing is they are machine washable and it even says you can put them in a low heat dryer. I didn't dare put them in the dryer, I just line dried them. Most of the padding in on the outer thighs, not much in the front. Some sticky type material is needed inside the lower leg area to prevent them from riding up your leg. The visual design is very modern and cool. Different types of fabrics, prints and seaming/stitching make them look trendy. Overall the pad was much thinner than I was expecting. It's thinner than batting I've used for sewing projects. The adult small size is for waists 28-30". These fit my nephew perfectly and he's a 28" waist. They have a lot of stretch, they are 19% spandex. They are very light weight and don't show under your shorts. There is a pocket for the athletic cup. The seams didn't rub or bother him at all. You have to provide your own cup.
