Works Great!!!
The Shoreline Marine, ABS Boat Cover Support Pole do just that, they keep my cover for my Pontoon boat from sagging, so the rain runs right off!!! No more wet interior!!!!

Inexpensive way to allow rain to run off boat cover. Probably will not support heavy snow, but for rain it's perfect.

Boat cover support pole
The pole itself is tall enough and adjustable. The only issue that I had with it is that the base is not sturdy enough and with slightest wind it will fall down. I cut a piece of 2x10 and screw the base on it and made it more stable. No issues after that. It is also a good value. Will buy again.

Good idea, but not stable enough
Unfortunately, it's not stable enough. They moved around in the boat and after a heavy rain, I had a swimming pool in my boat. Would not buy it again for my bigger lake boat.

A better design is needed.
The plastic tubes that stack together don't really fit in deep enough to give it side support. Therefore if you're not exactly vertically level it has a tendency to bend over. I should have bought telescoping aluminum support poles.

Don't cheap out.
Way too cheap, broke under the weight of the tarp, doesnt stay put on fiberglass deck.
