Will you be able to pass these shelves down to your children when you die? No. Will they stand up to a vigorous move down stairs and into a moving van? Probably not. But will they provide quick, simple, attractive storage when you need it? Yep! These are a nicer version of those plastic utility shelves with the supports that fit into the shelves above and below. The shelves are press board and the supports are plastic tubes that screw together. I got three of them to make more practical use of a dining room wall. They look fine and are even cuter once I added some baskets and stuff. They would make good bookshelves. But I would be cautious about putting heavy items on the top. They seem like they would tip easy. They were super simple to put together. No hardware or tools required. It is impossible to mess up. I am thinking of buying one more for my bedroom.

I needed extra storage in the kitchen. This rack is just perfect for this. It's lightweight but strong & its finish matches my cabinets. I was able to assemble it in under ten minutes. It was a bit wobbly without anything on it but was steady once I had it against the wall with stuff on it. It would also be very easy to transport this rack as is or disassembled when moving homes, making it perfect for apartment dwellers. I'm glad I got this rack as opposed to heavy metal or wooden shelves, it's just what I needed for my kitchen.

The bookcase was very easy to set up, you really didn't need any instructions. Once it's assembled, it looks beautiful! I love it. It looks way more expensive than it really was, which is a good thing! I love my bookcase, it attracts attention, and it was exactly what I was looking for! Great purchase!!! In addition, it fits perfectly in the corner as well!

Easy to assemble. Looks great. Holds all of my wifes' snow globes and the grandkids pictures. My wife wants a couple more of these for Christmas..hint, hint. I would recomend this shelf to anyone wanting to fill up corner space, as long what they want to put on it isn't too heavy. Works great for pictures or collectables.

EASY to assemble, each shelf has plenty of room for whatever you may want to put on it, sturdy, tall. For the price it can't be beat. It's not an heirloom piece of furniture, but it is great for displaying, organizing, adding visual interest and variety to a room. LOVE IT!

I live in a small senior apartment with tiny kitchen/dining/living areas. I got rid of my heavy dining hutch, which hid my dishes, and replaced it with these shelves. Everything is so much lighter, brighter and easier to keep clean!Makes the room look much larger and airier.

I like these. They serve my purpose. Sturdy and easy assembly. Cheap too. Some people don't like the fact that the black thingies between each shelf are plastic. Well yeah, they are. But it's a sturdy and goodlooking plastic. I think the contrast of the light wood and black plastic makes the shelves look sort of Art Deco. I gave one as a gift and kept one for me. I am happy with this purchase and so was the recipient of one as a gift! They are loaded with books and quite sturdy.

Eventually I would love a room dedicated as my personal library. However for now, I will have to do with books shelves here and there complementing my home décor. The shelving units are super easy to assemble (no directions needed), blend in well with my other home elements, and can hold quite a few books well. I purchased two of these years ago and just purchased two more due to my growing collection. If you make sure you don't put too much weight on one shelf these will work just fine.

Excellent product! Just what I expected for the price. I had a ton of books and no shelves in my new home. This was the perfect solution. I built the shelves 7 boards high to make a wall of shelves in one room, and lined the half-wall near my staircase with a row of shelves 3 boards high (that required ordering several pairs of shelves). My little boys enjoyed helping me put them together and were actually a help with this project because it was so easy. Of course they're not as sturdy or as classy as a whole-wood bookcase, but went together very quickly, about 5 to 10 minutes per shelf versus an hour or two for an expensive all-wood one that would come in a box. I was also amazed that they are so cheap, and a friend said they look great (I agree). Walmart's speedy and free delivery to my door turned my nightmare of unshelved books into a pleasant daydream!

i also bought two smaller ones... in my case my 5-shelf bookcase was demaged so i brought it back and got my money back without any problems. but i think i will give it another try and order me one, because i really like the smaller 3-shelf bookcases and it wasn't walmarts fault that the producer didn't do a good job. something like that could always happen, so... i'll make it short, i like the style and it is simple to put together and the price is also nice.
