We purchased this cot for my boyfriends 60+ yr old father who was coming to stay in our small apt for a month. Assembly couldnt have been easier. He says it's very comfortable and sturdy. I did add a down feather mattress topper (queen sized folded to 1/3). Fold us relatively slim so storage shouldn't be a problem. I love being able to give my guests an alternative to the couch or air matress. Overall very satisfied.
I purchased this for my 6 year old daughter as a temporary bed. She loves it. It is almost as big as a twin bed just not as wide. She says she sleeps great on it and loves the memory foam. The frame is very sturdy and doesn't squeak or anything when she gets on it or while she is sleeping. The cover on the mattress is very nice. The memory foam stinks quite a bit when you first open it. I would suggest leaving it outside or in a garage for a day or so for the smell to dissipate. This is similar to other memory foam products.
My son who is 5'11" & 180lbs slept on this for three nights. He said it was so comfortable, he would like to buy one for his house instead of using his regular bed! He woke up with no back pain. He had no problem folding it up & putting it back in the box for storage, although I don't think I could do it without help. Overall, this bed is a great value & I am glad I made this purchase.
Pleasantly impressed with cot. Very comfortable. Also beautifully made and aesthetically pleasing. Lives up to BeautyRest name. Guest stayed on it 3 nights and loved it. I tested it out too and slept on it on a few hot nights when it was just too hot to be on a mattress. Taught tarp (no sinking in middle) and springs. No squeaking. Foam mattress pad comfy. Sturdy bed, but not heavy to fold up or carry. Folds slim. Nice to be high off the ground. Blow up mattresses are a hassle to inflate and get up out of. This is easy breezy to unfold/set up. If I designed this I would design it to be 6-10 more inches off the floor. Other than that, perfect item to have in any home as a spare guest bed! Trust in this brand for quality!
I read the reviews before purchasing the twin size bed. I am glad I did, because I would have accidentally ordered the single not knowing their was different sizes. The reviews also gave me confidence that this would be a good bed. We use it for our children when we go on vacation. My husband ended up sleeping on it one night and said it was fine. Much better than most hotel rollaway beds. I have layed on it and thought it was pretty comfortable. The foam mattress makes a good difference compared to the kinds with springs in it. I wouldn't sleep on this long term for every day use, but when one would use a rollaway, this would be good. Hospital stays, camping, rollaway for hotel, children are sick and need to sleep in your room, these types of uses would be good for this bed.
easy to set up, does take a little extra squeeze in order to re-hook to stow away. if using for more than a night here or there, probably be good to get another 2-inch topper for more support. overall, I liked the quality and construction, just wish the cover for the mattress was a complete cover and not a "fitted" sheet, because that leaves the bottom foam mattress exposed. I will definitely be sewing a complete cover for it later.
This would be great for an extra bed for some guests (particularly younger), and although it is fairly comfortable with the memory foam mattress, it definitely still feels like a cot. I purchased the "twin" size, and it's seems to be the size of a regular cot. I can't imagine that it comes any smaller! I don't think this would be good for a larger adult.
I got the single bed in this and I didn't know that it would this narrow. I do not have enough space to move around I sleep. I wouldn't even put a child on this. The mattress is comfortable but the beef itself is just too small. Next time I'm going to go for a twin or full.
I bought t5his bed for myself. I live in a single room, and thought this would be great because I could store it away and hide it easily if I have visitors. For about 3 weeks, I slept on it. IT IS EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE, however, after about the third week, the seam holding the retaining rod and springs started ripping. Now, I understand and realize that this is probably not intended for everyday use like I have been using it, however, it is my belief that regardless, it would have started ripping anyway; it would just have taken longer. However, all that being said, this bed is indeed extremely comfortable for your visitors to lay their head at night, so by all means, I would definitely check it out, because mine may have just been one of those things. I will buy some heavy thread and repair it, and it should be fine after that.
They state the matress is memory foam. It is not. They state it can hold upto 300 pounds but my 200 pound husband laid on it and his butt hit the center support bar. We have the same unit bought a couple years ago and the quality is noticeably different. The springs are a thinner gauge, the base where the mattress sits is thinner and less supportive. Even the mattress cover is made out of substandard fabric. We will be returning this item and looking elsewhere. Very disappointed in the reduced quality!
