Simplee Adesso 18.5" Height Metal Material Brushed Nickel Finish Table Lamp Base, Transitional Design, Office and Dorm

Beautiful with any lampshade.

It's very simple and doesn't attract my cat like the glass one we had did so she doesn't try and knock it over

Just the right height and works perfectly where I needed it. I already had the shade. They look great together.

The Simplee Adesso lamp base is turned metal with a brushed nickel finish.  It has a chunky appearance over all which was reduced with a lamp shade on and appeared much more appealing that way.    It is a substantial lamp and sturdy overall and did not want to tip over when turned on with the turn knob. The turn knob is located directly on the lamp under the bulb.  The knob does have about 0.125 inches of play in the space it moves from left to right along with the metal socket inside the plastic lamp housing, which did not have any negative effect on the lamp's operation. The light turned on and off every time without any problems. It does not take up a lot of room for a bedside table. It is also sizable to be used in a living room or office. Overall the Simplee Adesso lamp base weighs 2 pounds and 6 ounces.  The base is 5.375 inches in diameter wide and has a felt bottom.  The lamp is 1 foot and 6.5 inches tall without the bulb. The cord is clear in color which I liked as it was more concealing.  The cord is 5 feet and 2.5 inches long to the prong. The lamp shaft is tapered and is 3 inches at the  bottom goes to 1.75 inches then there is a bulge out which is 2.5 inches and then to the top at 3 inches.    There are some hints given for minimum requirements when picking out a shade. The center of the bulb should be 3.5 inches from the shade. The top opening of the shade should be a minimum of 4 inches wide.  The vertical height of the bulb from the bottom of the socket connection to where the bulb starts to bulge out should be 3.25 inches.  The Simplee Adesso lamp base can be used with a type A incandescent bulb maximum 100W or LED bulb 16W maximum. There is a harper hold shade bracket on the lamp base around the socket. However, a shade that clamp over the light bulb or a slip uno that sits beneath the bulb over the lamp socket housing shade can be used.   I used a Simplee Adesso uno shade. My world is illuminated with Simplee Adesso!

The Simplee Adesso 18.5"H Brushed Nickel Finish Metal Table Lamp Base is exactly what I needed. It’s simple, elegant, classic and beautiful. I put this on our entry way table to illuminate enough for late night homecomings. Set up is simple, easy to clean, and I get to pick my own lampshade. I paired it with the Simplee Adesso Gray Fabric Lamp Shade, 10"H x 14"D. It’s a nice gray color with a minimalist pattern. Both items are durable and affordable. I am simply in love with the set!

I just set my lamps up and one of the lamp's base wobbles a bit. It appears not to be even on the bottom. There is a slight dent on the base which I didn't notice until I set the lamps up. What can be done to remedy this problem?

I think this lamp is very attractive, the turned metal is very smooth and matte, not shiny. It has a turn knob power switch, with a very satisfying click. It allows for the use of one bulb, up to 100 watts and accommodates a type of lampshade called an uno. There are fittings for a harp, but the lamp didn’t come with one. It weighs about 2 1/2 lbs, without a shade and much of the weight seems to be in the base, so it’s sturdy feeling. The base is 5.5” wide and the lamp is 18.5” tall. My husband didn’t find it as attractive as I did, so it’s not going on his bedside table, yet.

The description online says that it is a 3-way lamp but when I put my bulb in it, it only does on or off.
