[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As with the base system and other components, getting this outdoor camera connected via the SimpliSafe app was a cinch. The setup will walk you through all of the setup options, including which mount you would like to use and even a WiFi test for that spot before you mount it. The picture is very clear and the options to make it more sensitive or armed to options are just as easy to navigate as the app. The mount was a little difficult to ‘click' into place but it's completely necessary or that cap could twist off with a stiff breeze and send it tumbling. Make sure you are on a stable surface or someone is steadying the ladder (although it does tell you to use the fixed mount over 6.5 feet so we're talking stepladder if you're using the magnetic mount). All the same, I love this system and look forward to adding some of the upgrades over time. It's just a breeze to use and the monitoring subscription is pretty reasonable for all the options it gives.

The SimpliSafe app has options to adjust the Motion Detection, Video Quality, Night Vision, Flip Image, Mic & Audio, Siren, and Status Light. If you already have a SimpliSafe security system, the Outdoor Camera Series 2 is a great option to add additional monitoring and greater security to your home. With the included power cable and wireless connectivity, you can setup the camera almost anywhere and at any angle. It's weather-resistant and has held up perfectly through rain and heat. The two-way audio is clear, which is great for speaking to visitors. If you are looking for a solid camera that does nice viewing night and day that's easy to sync with your SimpliSafe system. This is a really good camera and easy to install.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This camera isn't being used exactly for what it was designed, but it's exactly what I needed for my income property/AirBnb… I wanted to utilize a camera when I didn't have guests/when I wasn't using the property, but I needed something I could easily remove (when guests were there), was wireless (battery operated) and unobtrusive. Enter the SimpliSafe Outdoor Camera Series 2!! The battery life is amazing, video quality is great (can clearly see my whole living room/kitchen/entry), and it's as easy to remove as taking it off the magnetic mount!! Also the magnetic mount doesn't even look like a mount when the camera is off!! Integrates with my SimpliSafe app and when I tested motion detection, the camera picks up movement quickly and engages my alarm/notifies my phone. Installation was a breeze, app helps through every detail! I hope I never have to use the 24/7 monitoring (will see if I keep, post free period) but I feel very protected with my new system when I do not have guests/or am not at the condo myself. Video and being able to talk through camera are both fantastic. Looking forward to keeping my property safe with SimpliSafe. After my parents saw the ease of use of the whole ecosystem, they were very interested, looks like I have a Christmas gift picked out!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The SimpliSafe Outdoor Camera Series 2 was honestly super easy to mount—I had it screwed in and set up physically in about ten minutes, which was awesome. Unfortunately, the software part was a total headache; it was ridiculously difficult to get the camera to connect to the app in the first place, requiring multiple resets. Once it's finally connected and working, the app itself just cannot stop glitching and crashing, which makes actually using the camera unreliable. Good hardware, but the connectivity and mobile app experience are currently a major pain point.

It's nice to see and know who's at your door before you answer it and is basically maintenance free. We have had very strong winds lately and the system has been very reliable but all the notifications when stuff is going by can be a little much. Very good system.
