[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a SimpliSafe user for more than two years the introduction of the SimpliSafe Smart Alarm Wireless Indoor Security Camera to my home security ensemble has been very positive. True to the brand's ethos, this device encapsulates the perfect balance between simplicity and effective home safety. Setting up the camera was straightforward. Both the wifi connection and pairing with the base station were a breeze, so even less technologically inclined people should be able to cruise through the setup process. The addition of a privacy shade is another aspect that I love, since it adds an extra layer of reassurance and privacy within my home. The camera's design is very practical while not standing out inside the home. The inclusion of a long power cord provides flexible placement options around the house, and the accompanying bracket for wall mounting adds to the versatility. The infra-red night vision is another star feature, delivering good image quality even under low-light conditions. However, potential buyers should be aware of a couple of drawbacks. Firstly, during the setup process, there were numerous software updates which, while essential for peak performance, interrupted the initial setup process. Additionally, the camera needed to be fully charged before setup could be completed, which delayed setup by a few hours. Also, while the camera comes with a power cord it does not include a USB wall adapter. I personally have a bunch of extra adapters but it would be more convenient if the package included its own. Just be aware of the lack of wall adapter and have one on hand or be ready to purchase one separately. Occasionally, I have also experienced a slow connection when trying to access the live feed from my phone. This isn't a frequent issue, but in an urgent situation, such delays could be consequential. Despite a few initial setup hiccups and minor shortcomings, the SimpliSafe Smart Alarm Wireless Indoor Security Camera stands as a robust and versatile addition to my home security system. Its combination of user-friendly features, privacy considerations, and impressive video quality outweighs the slight inconveniences. If you're on the fence about an indoor camera because of privacy concerns then I highly recommend considering this product.

Not only can it be placed anywhere in our home, the picture quality is excellent—even at nighttime. I definitely want to purchase additional wireless cameras as it's much more convenient than having to place each camera near an outlet. Highly recommend SimpliSafe too, very reliable security system.

The image quality, battery life and sleek design of the camera all provide a high quality upgrade from the original equipment I installed. You can see and hear clearly, easily review footage and share it, and communicate through the device. I feel so much safer when at home alone and when traveling away from home, knowing I can check in on the house whenever I want to. I also check in on my pets periodically throughout the day and have been able to utilize the “people vs animal” detection setting, so my dogs playing in the living room doesn't trigger a false alarm. I recommend Simplisafe cameras to any homeowner looking for a reliable, high quality security solution.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owed the SimpliSafe base station with alarm and doorbell but I didn't do the installation or set up myself. I do have other cameras that I have installed myself so comparing those to this, SimpliSafe was faster and easier. I just just went on the app and it walked me through everything. I've had trouble with other brands. I completed the whole set up in less than 7 minutes. The camera is a good size to either set on a bookcase or screw into the wall. It does have sound and a microphone. I really like that it's part of the system so I don't have to open multiple apps to get to it. I love the recording aspect and that I can set it to record motion. I've only been using it for a week but I really like it.

There's a wider view, it's clearer, and I love that you can sound an alarm or speak to intruders through it. It makes me feel safer. My only negative is that it needs to be charged whereas the old version was plugged in.

There is a visible shutter that blocks the front of the camera lens when not in use, which is great for those concerned with privacy. I enjoy that the rechargeable battery allows for this camera to be placed virtually anywhere (within range of the WiFi network). It was very simple to set up and charge. My only complaint is that the camera is a bit blocky and doesn't have a great range of motion. I wanted to use this camera for my son's playroom, but it was a little more difficult to get the perfect angle to see everything. Overall, I would still recommend this camera.

I received complimentary in exchange for an honest review. It is nice that it came in black or white so it blends in with your decor. I like how it can sit on a shelf, desk or other surface for easy monitoring, or be attached on the wall/ceiling- similar to any of their cameras. The picture and sound picked up from the camera, transmitted to your device is crystal clear and easy to monitor children or pets- per usual. I have an outdoor one I use to watch my kids in the yard. You can record and play back. You can speak to/interact with your observant. HOWEVER- there are 2 things that were less than ideal so I knocked off one star— 1) When you speak to someone it is not clear. This happens with my other SimpliSafe cameras too. We have the best networks available in our area as my husband is a software developer- but perhaps when they lay fiber in a month that will make a difference? Unknown. It glitches & you're hard to understand. 2) Connecting to my husband's Pixl 6 was not happening until AFTER I connected to the camera on my iPhone 14 ProMax. The system loaded, everything was done, our SimpliSafe has been working for 2 years on our phones. Just could not view the new camera on his device until I viewed it on mine- then it opened right up. It kept saying Unavailable. No idea why. We would've tried ‘power cycling' next. TLDR- camera is great- Received compliments of SimpliSafe/Influenster. Works pretty much as expected except microphone is a tad glitched. Definitely recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was very easy to install and get started. We don't even have to contact SimpliSafe to let them know we added a camera. We just added it in our app and it's now being monitored. Have had it less than a week and it hasn't been used yet. We leave for vacation soon, so it will come in handy while we are away. In conjunction with our outdoor cameras, sm9ke detector, door sensors, and motion detectors we all have mo itorrd by SimpliSafe. There is NO extra cost to your plan when you add additional equipment, unlike many other companies out there. This is a huge plus!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free from influnester. The camera doesn't come with a cord or charger and it wasn't easy to add to my account. Basically I couldn't get it to work for me. I love SimpliSafe products but this was not a win for me.
