Singer is a great brand, however I bought mine online and it came as if Someone dropped it pictures to follow if its broken!! I pray that's not the case and definitely checking for a warranty this is a gift to someone in the family, so I don't know if it's working, we're gonna soon now, however, It's a singer fingers 🤞crossed
I am a beginner and so far I have done very decent but this machine was very easy to set up and start sewing!! It has very easy start up instructions-but you do have to download the entire manual from Singer.com which saves losing the booklet of instructions (which I am known for misplacing manuals) but I was able to thread it up and start sewing within 15 minutes!! I did purchase a lower priced thread and it does break often but I am learning how to thread my needle and machine very quickly! so I would suggest to get higher quality thread. Very new user friendly and I love my machine cause it also came in black which I love more then anything.
i had a Singer sewing machine for over 50 years and was always happy with it; so when my daughter asked for a sewing machine, I knew immediately that I would her a Singer sewing machine as her Christmas gift.
I like everything except the pressure foot. The leverage is made of plastic and rustic. I would prefer it if it could be made of metal and be located in the back and not to the right side of the pressure foot.
A little bit tricky threading at first, important to thread under the staple like metal strip on top. Stitch selector a bit stiff to move I think it will loosen up some with use. Stitch is nice, runs pretty quietly. I like the style of it, I like the black that I bought. Very sleek, pretty. Over all I like it. I would recommend it.
it is a very flimsy machine and doesn't hold the thread tension. As a result, the stitches are erratic. I'm surprised at Singer for selling such a poor machine.
The wheel to move the needle is tight hard to turn,The power preser foot is plastic it slides. when you press for powe and the handel to release and lift the presser foot is plastic and rough uncomfortable to my finger.
Description said 45 stitches it only has 16 it also says there’s 1 step button hole feature and it doesn’t have one step button hole it has 4 step button hole. I tried to return the machine and exchange it for the one that actually has what it’s being promised and they did return it. It’s also missing pieces that were promised in “$30” value that was promised.
Power pedal stopped working after the initial test stitch Machine has power, the work light is on Trouble shooting indicates a potential fuse issue The machine just came out of the box. It should not need anything
Important part is missing-the thread holder; sewing machine is in operatable without it.... very disappointed, set it up to sew this morning. I need that part or need to return item today.
