I wouldn't really recommend

Megan June 25, 2026

The thread from the bobbin came out of the bottom and the indictment are very unclear on how to rethread it. If you are an experienced sewer, it may be easier for you, but I purchased it because I'm a beginner. I finally figured out how to rethread it and the moter went out. Tried changing batteries, but no luck. It's just broken now.

Not enough room to thread needle. Needle eye too small to see. I still have not used my new machine because I can't thread the needle. I need a new light weight sewing machine that is easy to thread needle. Light weight is important = Singer preferred.

Good for Thin Materials

anonymous April 15, 2025

For what's its worth, this is a great little sewing machine. The only two issues I have with it is that it's difficult to set up and the head isn't far enough away from the base so you can only bind thin materials together. You can mend pillowcases, sheets, shirts, and possibly pants but you can't stitch blankets. I tried to stitch two blankets together to create some sort of blanket sleeping bag but the blankets were too thick. I'll have to buy an actual sewing machine now.

Very Poor Design – Constant Thread Tangles

Jesse February 9, 2026

Very Poor Design – Constant Thread Tangles This is one of the worst handheld sewing machines I've ever used. The thread tangles constantly, making the machine almost unusable. The instructions are unclear, and the machine is not easy to operate—even for someone with sewing experience. I am an experienced sewer and have successfully used handheld machines in the past, but this one is poorly made and frustrating from the start. I spent more time fixing jams than actually sewing. I would not recommend this product to beginners or professionals. It feels cheaply constructed and does not perform as advertised.

Joseph March 1, 2026

When i tried to use this as a tabletop machine it just went way too fast and i didn't have time to get what I wanted sewn into the needle space and trying to set the fabric into the plate was not easy either- it kicked the fabric out and got tangled up from the machine continuously going. there is no time to fit the favric back in to get sewn, if the machine came with a foot pedal it would have been be better to use. the continuously running function is what is the main problem. Bad product for those who want to sew with a slow speed.

Did not meet expectations

lindsey June 29, 2026

I was hoping this would be a temporary fix while I got my sewing machine fixed. It was just ok. This little mending machine worked surprisingly well at first and was great for quick, simple repairs. Unfortunately, it didn't last very long before it stopped working in the middle of a small and simple sewing project which was disappointing. If you're only planning to use it once or twice, it might be fine, but if you expect to do regular mending or small sewing projects, I'd honestly recommend putting the money toward an inexpensive full-size sewing machine instead. You'll likely get much better durability and versatility in the long run.

Inadequate to do the job.

Hogman3 May 5, 2026

I was unable to remove the lower bobbin so I could put in a different color thread. I ended up returning it to Wal-Mart and got a refund. The concept was good, just not user friendly for this senior citizen.

Look elsewhere, this item is no good.

Alyce May 2, 2026

I just wanted to hem a pair of pants. It was the most dismal waste of my time. Sewing with it is not at all as easy as the box says. It wouldn't sew until it just ran away with the item. Speed was either stop or racing. Just horrible. Going to go hand sew them. Very disappointing.

Not good

Erin March 18, 2026

I bought this to do quick repairs without pulling out the machine. The thing would not work at all. It had an option of batteries or adapter for power neither of which worked. I was really disappointed, and would not recommend.

Does not work as advertised using batteries. I'm assuming that the wall AC adapter would, but that of course does not come with it and will cost even more.
