The smell and taste are quite metalic, and I try to avoid touching it so the smell doesn't stay on my hands. I put it in bottle cap and then immediately transferred it to my mouth. I try to drink it immediately. I noticed that I feel better.

This is really good. I'm low on iron because of thyroid issues. My ferritin went from 39,8 ng/mL to 66 ng/mL in 3 and a half months taking 2 pills/day. This is good for me. If you don't have thyroid issues but are just low on iron, it might raise your levels even faster. I'm super pleased with this product, big quantity, small price and extra quality. It's the best I think, and it doesn't upset your stomach as I heard other iron supplements (most) do.

I purchased this for my Mother, had to try it out first. She has been taking iron and she has been constipated so I had been purchasing the probiotic to help her . I used this product and I had no problems with my bowels at all. Sent it to my Mom and she has been using it ever since and said she has not had any issues with it at all. I recently found out my iron is quite low and my doctor told me I needed an iron supplement. After some research, I settled on this one as I generally liked ingredients and the fact that it is non-constipating. It seems to be working well for me, and I look forward to getting my next blood work done.

I was diagnosed as clinically iron deficient in Sep. 2019 with a ferritin level of 14. I have been a partial vegetarian for the last 40 years and did not realize that I needed to take an iron supplement because of my diet (no meat or poultry). I started taking 1 capsule per day of Solgar Gentle Iron (25 mg) in early Oct. 2019. Iron is absorbed more readily when taken with a vitamin C source, so I chose to eat a Golden Kiwi with my daily capsule of Gentle Iron. In late Dec. 2019 my ferritin level had gone up to 38. As of Aug. 2020, my ferritin level had reached 89. One is considered to have normal iron stores when your ferritin level is greater than 100. From this point on, I will take one capsule every other day. I am confident that my ferritin level will be greater than 100 within 3 months, even with the lower dose. I experienced no gastro-intestinal discomfort throughout this period.

Blood tests showed defficiency of B12 so this iron alone did not give expected results. Gentle on stomach, even when taken in the morning before food. No aftertaste. My advice would be to do the proper blood testing before starting a course, testing not only ferritin/iron levels but also B12 and reticulocytes including
