Solgar is one vita company I'd happily endorse. I have struggled with borderline anemia my whole life and I avoided iron pills for as long as I could because it makes me severely constipated. Decided to give this product a try and it's the only iron supplement that delivers on the promise of being non-constipating. It does make your bowels heavier a bit but I can still get my bowel movements. And the bigger plus, I finally was able to get my iron levels in the double digits as a result of taking these. That's been nearly impossible for me.

I LOVE this gentle iron. 3 years ago I was put on a 100 mg iron/day which can and did cause severe constipation despite 4 senna daily. It was excruciating! After I switched to this iron, no more problem. One important note: when I was released from the hospital in 2019 after 3 transfusions, they did not know what caused my hematocrit level to drop to less than 1/4 of normal (thus the iron) but the dr implied it was because I couldn't absorb enough iron from my food. She recommended taking a high dose of vitamin C with each iron to improve absorption.

Solgar is a very good brand of this type of absorbable iron. No upset stomach and lab work show good results! Only take iron supplements if doctor advised.

This iron is safer to use for some with special health issue. Easy to digest and does not cause contipation.

I've used solar gel, gentle iron or sometime. The only problem I have is getting it on the timely basis.

Like they are in capsule form...

Prescribed to take these by doctor. No constipation…but a weird metal taste right when you consume. Fingers crossed it helps lift my iron count!

Can't rate, because bottle was mailed in a simple bubble wrap envelope with no other protection. Bottle was completely smashed to smithereens with glass and capsules scattered in the envelope. Not pleased. Sent USPS.
