I wasn't even in the market for a TV has my previous Sony was still working. It wasn't HDR but still had a really great picture. Then a friend of mine I used to work with told me how amazing his TV was so I decided to treat myself for Christmas. I was watching a series on Netflix which was about halfway finished. And I started watching on the new TV I just could not believe the images I was seeing. This TV actually take settings from Netflix to make sure you see the content has its creator intended. Images are just mind-blowing. It's also nice to use a remote that has voice control. Needless to say I am more than happy with my purchase.
Such an outstanding 65" TV, model XR-65A80J. Sony is the best for all consumer electronics. The picture is so exact and clear we see expressions or motions which went unseen on our Samsung. It feels as though the movie characters are the room with us. Also, no other speakers are needed with this sound quality. We are thrilled!
I've always wanted an OLED TV after just having the LED's. The difference is huge! Better clarity, deeper blacks, no blooming. This Sony is not too dim and just the right amount of brightness. All of my TV's are Sony so I knew they made a great product but I'm just blown away with this OLED TV! Sound is great as well.
I would argue that sony is over priced. I was very wrong. I was lifted this after the sudden demise of my HISENSE TV. I am amazed. It is beautiful, and easy to use.
Had this for a few years now and cannot fault it. A great looking tv that connects perfectly to my Samsung soundbar and gaming consoles. Would buy again but maybe a bigger size :)
Im A little disappointed with Sony especially its absolute horrible technical support. I've had this TV a few months and the picture is fine sounds good but the remote control It's awful. The only item I added as an external is a Blu-ray player which though the input acknowledges it and turns it on none of the play button does work Similarly even though my i have DVR service with fios, the DVR button doesn't work so you really need to have two remotes my FiOS remote plus the Sony remote As well as one for the blu ray player. Programming Could be a lot easier and the online manual has a lot to be desired. This is my first Sony OLED TV and it will probably be my last.
This is my fourth Bravia tv. All been excellent without faults so far. After 3 years it won't turn on. When contacted Sony I was unpleasantly surprised by how poor Sony support has become. I filled out the repair enquiry form, but received no acknowledgement. Then tried the support chat. "Jonathan" offered to sell me a new TV at trade-in saying that it's my panel had failed. I reiteratd that tv indicated that it has either a mainboard or power issue, he then became irritated still tried to upsell me a new TV, saying that parts are difficult to obtain for my three-year-old unit. He became passive-aggressive asking what I wanted. after making me explain that I want it to be fixed, he then said that the other team would be in contact. I tried to chat with someone else to discover that he was the only person answering the chats. I then called their number it was similar unproductive chat with sales team.
The TV wouldn't turn on at all, and the only sign of life was 4 red blinks from the self-diagnosing LED indicator.I didn't expect this from a brand like this..I used Vizio TV for 15 years and never had an issue..
In less than two years, the ethernet input stopped working and then six months later the Wi-Fi receiver stopped working. At its third year it will not turn ON at all.
Garbage. Such a monumentally expensive tv to last just over one year before suffering a terminal power fault.
