Love it

Michiru913 April 28, 2025

Love all of the features for of this TV. We also have a PS5 that when you turn it on, you don't have to press hdmi option to get to the hdmi it was connected to as it will switch to PS5 automatically. One thing I thought could be improved was the remote. We had a child visitor and kept trying to press next but there was no such thing on the remote so the kid was pressing something else. The kid was on the spectrum and is still non-verbal so the kid got a bit upset everytime but nothing that I, who was around to watch over him, can't help him with.

Best midrange TV in AU

Gregulah December 3, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently upgraded during the Black Friday sales. I upgraded to take advantage of the newer HDMI 2.1 features with my PS5 (and AV receiver with eARC). The TV is great for gaming as I had hoped and is a nice improvement from my previous TV when it comes to TV and movies (the X90E is still really solid in this regard). The local dimming and HDR is a nice improvement, my previous TV didn't do dolby vision so that's a welcome addition. The colours and highlights really pop and the vibrancy of the colours is really noticeable (using custom or cinema with expert1 colour and most excessive enhancements switched off). The remote is a nice improvement, much smaller but keeping all the buttons I actually need. The menu changes are also smartly done with the prior app shortcuts being incorporated into the inputs menu (if you want it). I also really like the quick settings and the level of customization that is available. The eARC feature works great with my older STRDN 1080 Sony receiver passing through Atmos and such through flawlessly. Also from a sound perspective the Airplay 2 addition is really nice (amp has airplay 1) as it responds quicker and integrates better with home kit. My wife and I regularly use the TV and screen off function for music and the dolby sound setting smartly selects multi speaker stereo for music (which sounds great with my setup). Minor gripe if anything is that the picture appears to be a bit cooler than my previous TV with the same settings (custom/cinema in expert1). It may just be adjusting to the more vibrant picture of the new TV but I've never felt the need to properly/proffesionally calibrate a Sony TV before and I'm hoping this won't be the first. As with the previous x90E I really don't think there is a better midrange TV available in Australia. Very happy over all.

Wifi is Broken

Ozzie December 11, 2024

Really good product to start with but in the last 2 months the wifi no longer works, which means no ability to stream anything through the TV any more. Quite frustrating that it hasn't been fixed

Great picture. That's about it.

Whydoineedanickname1 September 26, 2024

Picture is great, but the TV locks up.......LOTS. the sound sometimes doesn't work, and it constantly make you reset your password. Thus is my 2nd because the 1st one broke with a green line through the pic after 2 months. Warrantied out, and this one locks up more then my windows 95 computer. Need to unplug it to reset it. Do not recommend a purchase.

A terrible experience!

JasonR2025 March 25, 2025

I'm a big Sony fan so it when it was time to buy a new TV I settled on this model. It has been a pain since the first day I brought it home. The bulk of my issues came from the Google integration and I don't think that's any fault of Sony. But now after just two years a bright green line has appeared running down the left side of the screen. I won't be replacing it with another Sony TV.

Faulty TV

Liam87 April 10, 2025

Don't waste your money on a Sony TV. This apparent top of the line TV failed just after 12 months with the screen staying black and flashing fault codes and unable to reset. I couldn't be bothered with the runaround to go through a replacement process so have swapped this out for a TCL which looks like ot has better picture quality with 3 years warranty instead of 1. I use to support Sony products but I will never purchase a Sony again.

Don't buy it,

Sandy1989 March 26, 2025

Absolutely rubbish tv, blurry picture all the time and no technical support from Sony, go for LG or Samsung. White patches shows on the screen even when you open any app.
