I got this alarm clock for Christmas and it is great! Very sleek and modern, amazing quality, back of battery for when the power goes out and a great radio built in! The brightness is adjustable for those early mornings and the time is set to your own time zones! Ten out of ten would recommend!
I needed a clock that fit in a small space. This one is perfect. You can change how bright the numbers are. The sound quality of the radio is fine for a bedroom clock radio. All the settings on the radio are in black, so I usually need a little extra light from a flashlight, but that gives it a sleek look. Once I 'learned' the buttons, I have not had to touch them. I am pleased with the clock!
The best feature of this radio is the three-setting dimmer with amber lights - almost all other clock radios with green displays are too bright in a dark room. The alarm is very easy to set with one hand, unlike my old clock radio that required two hands. I was so happy with it I bought a second one for my wife!
Was needing a replacement clock radio for my Sony Dream Machine I had owned for several years. Found this Sony alarm clock with AM/FM radio. Have had three or more months. Have found nothing to dislike about it. The amber display is easy to read; daylight saving time feature; size, etc. Love it.
It is more compact than the alarm clock I had before so it takes less space on my night table. It has nice functions. And the numbers are big enough to be seen from across my bedroom. It creates a bit of light so that I can see where I'm going without hitting my knees on furniture at night.
The alarm clock looks very nice and it works pretty well. The speaker sounds not very good (but ok for 20$). The main point is that the britheness is too hi, even if you adjust it to the lowest, it is still too bright. I need to turn it every night before I sleep.
Having had one of these sitting on my bedside table for the last 30 years, I decided to buy my daughters one each when in Singapore recently, but I can't for the life of me work out how to have it on 12 hour clock instead of 24 hour. If anyone can help iId appreciate the advice!
I like the sound of the radio. Most alarm clocks have horrible speakers, they sound like transistor radios from the days of old. This one sounds great. But...the control buttons for everything (clock, radio, alarm) are very tiny and awkwardly positioned. Very difficult to maneuver around the layout of the buttons in the daylight, so there's no way I could set it or check it in the dark.
This clock had all the features that I wanted for a Clock Radio Alarm, but the buttons were just too small for my 70+ year-old eyes. Turning the dial to a different station would have been difficult in the dark. I loved the concept, but it sadly did not work for me. 8-(
I owned an older Sony clock radio and the look of this new model attracted me. It has the usual Sony clock radio sound quality and probably slightly weaker radio reception than the old one and I think this product could be better if: - has a digital radio tuner and displays the channel info at the front panel as the channel window is so small (compares to the older models). - has bigger buttons as it is so difficult to turn off the alarm when just walking up. I would only recommend this product for its look only.
