[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm honestly really impressed with this Sony ULT Power Sound portable speaker. The sound quality is powerful clear and base heavy without sounding muddy. The ULT base feature makes a huge difference, especially for hip-hop R&B and upbeat music. It gives that deep immersive sound that feels much bigger than the speaker itself. Also, the battery life has been great so far and I love that it's waterproof and durable enough to take outside or to travel with pairing the speaker with the Bluetooth on my smart phone was quick and easy and the overall design feels sleek and premium.

The speaker is compact, lightweight and comes with a carrying strap that honestly looks like it borrowed its design from a pair of sneakers. It's a fun little detail that makes the speaker feel more casual and portable. Mine is the Off White version. To be honest, I expected it to be a bit whiter. In daylight, it looks more gray than white, but the iridescent Sony logo adds a nice touch and catches the light beautifully. Overall, the design is clean and minimalistic. Nothing feels unnecessary, and every button is exactly where it should be. That said, the light-colored fabric comes with a downside. After just one outdoor adventure, nature decided to leave its autograph on the mesh. Dirt and stains are definitely more visible on this color, so if you're planning to use it mostly outside, a darker version might be the safer choice. Now let's talk about sound. Without the ULT button, the sound is pleasant, balanced, and smooth. It's perfect for podcasts, background music or a relaxing afternoon. But press the ULT button, and suddenly your ordinary Tuesday starts acting like it was invited to a backyard barbecue. The bass becomes fuller, the music feels more energetic and the whole listening experience gets a lot more fun. What impressed me most is how clean and powerful the sound remains despite speaker's small size. It genuinely sounds bigger than it looks. Vocals stay clear, instruments are easy to distinguish and the extra bass doesn't completely take over the mix. Battery life has also been excellent. I've consistently gotten around 10-12 hours of use, which is more than enough for a full day at the park, by the pool or just moving from room to room while pretending I'm being productive.

It has really deep base, the sound is clear, and the highest volume setting is super loud. It connected incredibly quickly to my phone via bluetooth. I played background noise on it through the day and it lasted about 12 hours. Definitely good for outside pool parties since it's also waterproof.

It would fit in a beach bag perfectly. So far I have used it to play music while cooking and playing in the pool with my son. I can't wait to use it all summer in the backyard listening to 90s country and pop. I would definitely recommend this speaker.

This speaker was missing much of the mid-range that was I expecting from Sony based on my ownership and appreciation for an older type of Bluetooth speaker... the Sony SRS-XB33. The price is right, but the product did not delivery the expected sound quality.

My old Sony SRS speaker expired. I purchased 2 ULT FIELD 1 speakers. both have the same defect. they cannot produce a tone so you hear distortion in stereo. Don't buy this product Today I'm returning them and replacing it with 2 ULT Field 3. Let's see what happens.
