I bought this clock for my husband and myself. Since we don’t have a clock in our living room It’s great because it has 2 different color schemes and also displays whether it’s AM or PM and the Month Day and Year. Since my husband is retired and does not have to be anywhere he losses his Sense of time.
The size of this clock is perfect. It fits well on the wall or on a tabletop (with the included removable stand). Clear and bright numbers make it very easy to see from a distance. Power cord is provided to plug into wall.
My husband is currently in rehab facility and was having trouble keeping track of days, time, etc. this clock is so nice! You can easily see and read the day, time, whether morning or evening and it also is visible at night. One of the best purchases!
My 98 yo MIL loves this and she is not an easily pleased. Knowing the day has been a problem for her lately and so being able to glance and see it helps immensely. Numerals are very easy to read. The fact that it resets itself after a power outage is very useful. She would not have been able to program this herself, but it was easy to do.
I purchased this for my elderly mother who has beginning stages of dementia. She is unable to determine what day of the week it is and was missing scheduled appointments. I purchased this for her in an effort she could look at the calendar and see the date, the day of the week, time. It has a large display screen that illuminates bright enough she can see if clearly, but is not obtrusive. She can see it from across the room. She loves this calendar, therefore I love it. She thanks me nearly daily for getting it for her. I highly recommend it.
This is something that I would keep buying because the numbers are large and I can still see it without my glasses. It is very easy to set it up and never had a problem with moving it around when I rearrange my room. As I am now 73 I try to purchase things that has dual purpose. 1. easy to set up 2. numbers large and easy to see (even without my glasses) 3. you have the ability to hear the time.
With the large screen letters and numbers showing date, day of the week and time and morning /afternoon/evening etc it really helps my mother in law with keeping track of day of the week and date of the month and time of the day. Plus it is easy for her to read. She is so happy we bought it for her .
Just an all-around great product for elderly, but could be used by anyone. Illumination is great and verbal time is also great just an all-around great product for elderly, but could be used by anyone. Illumination is great and verbal time is also appreciated.
Really, Really hate it is advertised as a dementia clock. There are many people who have memory issues who do not have dementia. For example a stroke, or issues with their eye sight...the clock can be verbal. I think you toss the word dementia around too casually. How about a young person with learning disabilities. Growing up my children were unable to read clocks, anyways, don't want to hear back from you.
I brought this to help run my household more smoothly since it has 5 alarms and 3 pill reminders. The alarms can be set for M-F, weekends, or everyday, it works very well. I use the timers for the kid's homework time, dinner time, chore time, bedtime, and weekend activities, including church. (Since all my kids dont have cell phones, plus I am old school and prefer a central alarm ) My only issue is that it needs to be plugged in. This is very frustrating and the only con I found. I really like having a battery-operated alarm clock so I can place it anywhere. (When purchasing, I misread the description, only the remote is battery operated) Overall, it's a great clock for multiple uses!
