The Primary Journal came as expected. It was clean with no bends or tears. The price for this item at Walmart was just as good or better than anywhere else we looked. However, it was not available at the store closest to us, so we had to drive a bit further to include it in our order.
My pre-K prince was ready on day one, with his composition-like notebook filled with paper just perfect for his little hands to learn how to write! And the best part was that feeling he got when he shoved his notebook in his backpack just like his big sibling!
As described and perfect for kids to learning to write with big imaginations. Big spaces to color and perfect lines for them to follow to write.
I homeschool and these are great for my kiddies. Between this and the Mead brand the quality is beyond great.
Helps to keep the toddlers away from the older children's work books if they have their own. This is perfect. Helps them to learn to write and draw.
Bought for granddaughter and she likes it. She's learning how to print as she's 6 so this was another option to help her
really nice for the smaller children but I do believe it is priced a little high considering it is just a journal and regular journals are only 50 cents and this was almost $3
Homeschool mom here. We absolutely love these for journaling, ages 2-8. They have a space with lines for writing and a space for a drawing. I just wish they were a little cheaper.
school asked for journal for kindergarten and this book meets the requirements. But after purchasing it I found it having thin paper and worried about the quality. after using it , it looks good but still I am not very much satisfied with the quality and hence giving it a 4 star instead of 5 as kid may tear the page apart while erasing something.
I am a homeschooling mother of 4 (yes, even before the pandemic). We do a lot of writing in our homeschool. I thought this would be a good notebook for my first grader, but I was sorely disappointed. The paper is extremely thin, so every single pencil mark bleeds through to the other side, making the back side of each page completely unusable. The paper does not have the correct "feel" to it, but feels overly soft/waxy, making the pencil markings dull and hard to read. The idea of writing lines picture box was good, but the paper quality itself is horrid, making it completely unsuitable for any serious educational purpose. I ended up scrapping this for my homeschool use, but let my child keep it as a place to draw and color. If you want to give your child something cheap to doodle on or cut up with scissors, this would be OK. But if you want your child to practice writing in a way that you can review, read, correct, and actually SEE, then this product may leave you disappointed.
