i like using this spelling workbook to help give my kids a sort of "muscle memory" in spelling. the book doesn't have long spelling lists or tests. instead it presents words in groups based on patterns and blends. the exercises are just the right amount of fun and work to keep kids interested. i sit with the kids and go through the workbook with them, even if they are good at independent study, because spelling is part of language, and understanding and applying language works best in social groups. in this way even stubborn (for whatever reason, it's not always intentional) learners can walk away with valuable knowledge that sticks.

We homeschool. These books are grade appropriate and strate to the point. No gfiler or junk. We use these every year.

Better than other big name curricula
This was a game changer for my kids! We've tried other big name spelling curricula but it just wasn't clicking with them. This is simple and easy for them to do independently and the spelling progress is sticking!

Good content and organization
Beautifully organized and illustrated. Challenging content needing very little extra lessons. Students stay engaged with the work and the units are an appropriate length so that they can complete things in a timely manner. The most important thing is that the students feel successful after mastering each unit. I would like to have a variety of spelling tests available in this book so that I can test the students' skills.

This book has an easy layout that you can have a lesson a day and a final test on the last day. It is very straight forward and easy to use.
