This saved me about 2k because I didn't have to hire an electrician. This worked flawlessly and helped me troubleshoot and find the bad outlet (on the string) which led to finding a bad romex 14/2 wire. Ripped out the the entire 14/2 and then replaced every outlet on the string and put in 12/2 instead. This thing in amazing. Read the directions and it truly is an amazing wallet saver. Works easy and easy to understand and comprehend.
I got this 2 piece tester kit to test a few of my outlets. This is the best electrical tester I have ever used! It is nice to have two instruments in one. This tester is very easy to use, it is very sensitive and alarms when you are close to something live. You can always count on Sperry instruments to make affordable great working electrical test tools. I definitely recommend this product!
Worked exactly as expected. Helped me fault find the electrics
Works as expected. Very durable.
Works fine, just a little bit too sensitive.
The sperry noncontact voltage tester is way too sensitive. I like my testers to differentiate between separated wires in an electrical box. The sperry senses voltage 1 1/2" away from a cord or a receptacle with the coverplate on! Good if you want to do that I guess. For an electrican or a homeowner, it will frustrate the heck out of you while trying to troubleshoot. The sperry GFCI receptacle tester is good tho. I've had one for 6 years. I've tried several voltage testers. Had 2 Kleins that sucked! The batteries get loose and won't make contact. The first adjustable voltage sperry sucked! My girlfriend had a Milwaukee 2202-20. I used it once and have bought 4 since. (I lost the first two! Just got my second two). Love them. I imagine Fluke are good since their meters are top of the line. $10 more than Milwaukee and no light. The light comes in handy!!!!! The end.
